i dont think anyone compared it to wow, plenty of other games have action bars also, no need to get so defensive and think people are comparing this game to wow.
Ha! I tried WoW and didn't like it AT ALL compared to ESO. I guess different people like different aspects of a game. For me, the artwork and music is a major factor. Of course gameplay is important, but I'm such a noob that I'm not good enough to be very discriminating yet, so I can't argue OP's point one way or the other, except on point of it sounding a bit . . . well, arrogant.
My play style is simple. Get in your face and pound till you are a puddle at my feet. No elegance required.
It took me a while to understand the principle of slotting and the need for a careful choice. I actually like the system, even if I still struggle with the choices and with my own fingers sometimes pressing a wrong button after I switch the skill bars, but hey, nobody was born a veteran, right?
Even Skyrim have 10 quickslot for spells and stuffs, lol.

To adapt that to this discussion.

As for ESO 5 Skills, 1 Ult and 1 Item slots is plenty. It's part of the design of the game and if you don't like it don't play.

The premise of your argumet is that a simple task takes more skill than a complex task.
The Univerise, Math, Logic, and every ounce of Common Sense mankind has ever collected seem to disagree.
