Intel x86 Processor Required. Sorry.
edit: try rosetta
I'm not happy about it. I got stories. One. CDPR. They're remastering Witcher 3 and Witcher 1 using Unreal 5, which will look amazing. Unreal 5 doesn't support the M1 chips.
Unreal Engine 5 doesn't support M1:

M1 doesn't support ray tracing:

Apple just made a dumb move. They say they're doing it for gamers, but it's the opposite. They say there's a lot of power in those M1 chips and it's just untapped, but until you get the two biggest game engines, Unreal 5 and Unity on it, there's no future for M1 & gaming. Plus you're dealing with apple..
Apple is such a pain to deal with as a developer (note this was while mac's were still using x86, before M1 was released): https://www.gridsagegames.com/blog/2019/09/sorry-mac-users-apple-doesnt-care-about-us-devs/
And have you seen Linus Tech Tips? Have you seen their WAN Show? Know Luke on the show right? The amount of issues he's made viewers known about Apple's business practices is just sad. Less than 50% of updates that you send to Apple are approved due to their review process. They get a larger cut than Valve, and do less for it. imma just let the credits roll on the M1 & Gaming. Sorry for anyone who thought it was a gaming computer:
