utter cr*p drop rate

Been doing the Maelstrom arena back to back the past 2-3 days... all I'm trying to farm for is the lightning staff.. in those 3 days i've had duplicates of every single item in there BUT the lightning staff... that its is actually the only one I need from there.
I've got literally doubles of every other staff in there... two and sometimes 3 of each of them.

The arena is not hard.. I have the place cleared in 20-25 minutes .... but the drop for for this is just beyond the joke. Reason I'm saying this is because literally every pain in the a$$ farm drop has always been a lightning staff. Mother's sorrow, Jorv, olorime, siroria.. you name it.. Inferno staff's are actually somewhat easier to get but for some reason lightning staff's are just the base sh*tpile for drop rates.

What's more annoying is I farmed all this on the EU... that was painful enough to get there... I'm trying to get this staff here on the NA... absolutely stupid I have to refarm for it when its the same account.. granted different server.. but same account.
Crowns go across both servers... dlc doesn't... houses don't.... gold and bank stuff don't... but some thing do and some don't... having to farm up all the collections pieces again is just stupid.....

Same here I have been farming MA for weeks,like 2 runs a day and never ever got the lightning staff.
I moved on and use a different one for now,may try it again in a few weeks.When I play I try to enjoy myself so I got back to housing ^^

sadly i've got no houses left.... 47 fully furnished and low on gold... so atm its just the lightning staff grind.

Back in One Tamriel it took me over 450 runs of Vaults of Madness to get a single Rattlecage Restoration Staff that I no longer even use.

When the game's balance swings like a pendulum, it's a better idea to ignore anything that requires a lot of farming and simply use what doesn't.

If not, you will regret it. There are some people that had completed vMA over 600 times before Greymoor only to be left with "imperfect" vMA weapons when they updated them in Greymoor. Who's to say that won't happen again?

Spend your time on more important things, or making money.

Every MMO does this time sink thing. There's no point unless you genuinely have nothing else to do and enjoy grinding. I can't stand this type of content, thankfully I'm new to ESO so there's a lot I can do / explore before it comes to it. But ideally you should move on to other games and come back when new content is up. That's what you should do to any MMO unless like I said, grinding your days away is your thing. Personally, I feel like with little time I have on this earth, spending it grinding like a robot on items that will disappear in a few years when ESO shuts down, feels like there would be regret.

Tell that to my first time lightning saff way back then, when MA was actually hard. People complain because they have no idea what they're talking about. Be grateful that you can do normal MA and still get the drops.

the fact is... i play both the EU and the NA... on the EU all this sort of crap i have unlocked. yet I've got to refarm it on the NA, even though the account is the same account. I've had to dble pay merchant/banker because buying it on one doesn't do it on the other.. same with dlc.. same with house storage.. houses don't go across accounts either.. but its all under the same account.. its a fkn joke... the fact that collections have to be completely redone as well.

Yes, it's a joke now. You can still do vet to get the perfected versions but those aren't really any different from the base weapons. People still complain that they're not getting what they want lol.

I'm always getting stuff on toons that don't need it so maybe try another toon (stamina).

I'd honestly try what therezoner said. Or at least a different character and switch it up a bit. Back when I was farming vet for my inferno someone said to play stam as a joke and sure enough the 2nd run on stam it dropped.
