The people running the ESO forums are the worse

I gave feedback on all the issues I don't like. I was pretty kind and respectful. That got me a ban on the forums.

Just a heads up for anyone new. This company treats player feedback pretty poorly.

Ya, I don't mind if they agree or disagree with me. A banned is kinda crazy for just giving feedback on things that I wish would change.

I'm not going to blame developers or anything. I doubt the people who code this game or makes choices on game, but if you are new. You should be warned about how this game is ran.

Yeah the forum mods for ESO are just mini-Hitlers. The net result is the official ESO forums are entirely redundant and you get far more useful interactions and information here on Steam, or on Reddit.

And let's be honest, it's a real turn up for the books when Steam and Reddit are less toxic than official forums!

How is it baiting if I was responding to someone else trying to bait me.
The devs totally use personal/alt accounts to argue with players and then bait them into an angry response so that they can then ban them on their moderator accounts.

If you wanted some feedback, i would say that this message consists of nothing but personal atack on people you don't agree with: ~"they say it because they are "whales"", ~"they are not honest, their opinion should not exist". Also in practice you tried to make forum manager а part of your game, and to create conflict inside ESO staff. It is like you were making fun on controversial topic and tried to turn it into flame.

Bad reading, it was my thread I created and was set upon by literal shills. It’s the same names constantly. They live on forums and constantly attack any criticism of ZOS. I have no intention to stir internal conflict. I was using that as a way of justifying my thread to those who dismissed me as a troll. The fact that Kevin acknowledged my complaint in a cordial manner makes me think it wasn’t bashing. As for the thread will continue quote. An actual troll in my thread baited me with personal attacks and saying that I was trying to get the last word by responding to my own thread? The troll’s comment was since deleted and when I responded pleasantly it was reported as baiting?! I’ve played the game since 2015 and am very passionate about it so I use the forums to provide feedback and criticism to try improve the game but not like the devs listen they just get offended and swing the ban hammer.

The official forum mods are left-leaning snowflake janitors who ban you for the slightest provocation or refusal to be sweet and cheery, or if you have a divergent opinion. It truly is a safe space for the softest individuals. Most posters with any hint of dissension will eventually get a target on their back and its only a matter of time until they are banned. I don't know why ZOS allows such power-hungry moderators to run their forums, because they're almost as bad as Reddit and Discord mods.

Happened to me. ZOS Icy is one of the worst moderators I've ever seen. There are a few others but that creature seems to be the most active.

This is extremely common, well documented, and will always continue. This is to shield the investors from reading any negativity about the game, especially the server issues, to avoid a potential investor fraud lawsuit by the people who paid tens of millions of dollars for “AAA servers” only to have the lead dev pocket that money and lease garbage tier servers instead.

This is also well documented. if they cant find a legit reason to ban someone they want gone, they will use one of two fake player accounts to engage the person in an argument, then ban just that user. These two accounts are nearly 10 years old and have done this to literally thousands of people.

there is literally no logical way for them to feel morally correct about this. at this point they know they are corrupt and dont care.

fyi this thread would have been quickly locked and bans given to all involved if this were on their web forum.

nothing will ever change unless the investors found out what was happening, and that would require some big youtuber to talk about it.

the most interesting part to me is that at this point they know they are morally corrupt, and have done extreme mental gymnastics to get past it, as no semi-intelligent individual cant tell that its corruption to ban people for their opinions. that wouldnt fly on any other game forum on the planet. they would be fired.

Indeed, bet the ZOS mods have no soul and just only care about the money. Maybe they enjoy the power trip it gives them too.

That's because if you post it they will threaten to permaban your account, not just your forum one

They can freely moderate their steam community hub. Or they can let steam moderators do it. The lack of moderation here rather suggests that they don't care. Game forum is much more active, people don't leave it. It looks friendly place.

Right now i see feedback thread about Battleground stream. It is not closed and complaining people were not banned.

Also i remember that forum trolls do exist. I cant judge nobody, dont even have information for this, but that theory about provocator alts looks similar to "devil made me do it".
