Bring vet mode to overworld
hello eso tema,

I played eso thorugh and i must say after cp 160 and the right gear there is nearly no more challenge in the open world. However i love the camapigns and all the fighting and i just want it to be challanging again also with the right gear. Thats why i want to ask for a vet mode in overworld like in dungeons so i can sweat again

To me the game is far too easy from the get go. DPS is just spam 1 ability and win. You really have to go out of your way to make the overworld content difficult.

As a nightblade player of 8 years now, I must ask, What ability!?

Wish this was a thing so badly. Unfortunately a lot of bad actors don't want this to be a thing because they believe it's bad for it to exist and that it'll gate content from them even if it could be entirely optional with no benefits. Tough luck I guess. But one can only hope that ZOS sees the light at the end of the tunnel at some point in time. It's been years, though.

yes and also give us consequences for death, like dropping our loot. then give us some more zones with cyro pvp rules, Crag would be a good place to start imo.

The game is really about sets. If you stay away from set gear, the game can be slightly challenging in the overworld. As long as there is a toggle, I would love to have a difficulty option for overworld like an Undaunted scroll you find near bosses.

In most cases all hardmode does in a dungeon is increase their health and maybe add 1-3 more mechanics. In overworld this would just translate to health sponge bandits/cutlists. Whilst that would make it less of a steam roll. It would become very tedious after awhile. To make the game harder they'd probably have to focus on way more mechanics aswell as health and then increase the damage of standard enemies. Maybe introduce a checkpoint system like in souls games. Whilst it would be great to have more of a challenge I sincerely doubt ZOS will ever do this as they only cater to casuals.

They released a zone once that had very difficult overland content, Craglorn, but people cried that it was too hard, and that they had to group up to take down bosses. Oh the humanity. Imagine having to group up in an MMO. The crying from the casual side of the community was so loud that ZOS eventually nerfed the zone and have made overland content braindead easy ever since, never making another attempt to create challenging overland. Even when Necrom was released, they nerfed the wandering world bosses required for Bastion Nymic after just a few weeks, because once again people whined that they were too difficult and they weren't able to solo them. Casuals ruin everything challenging in MMOs, to be honest. I've seen it in every single MMO I've ever played.

It wasn't really hard it was more so just annoying because all they did was make everything a health sponge, not add many new mechanics or more damage.

Sounds like they gave everything tons of health to encourage people to group up.

Yeah but creating health sponges isn't fun or engaging it's just tedious. It just means you sink more time into killing something. They could learn a lot from souls games where the difficulty is based on a moveset/mechanics, rather than chipping at it until it dies.
I have die more from taking shortcuts falling down cliffs than enemies killing me in this game.
