Yes, it creates FOMO in people who don't meet very basic requirements but are also unwilling to put in a little effort to meet those requirements to earn the very thing they expect to get for free. The sense of privilege or entitlement, same thing I guess, in so many people is so typical these days that it's a sad illustration of how modern society sucks. What they don't realise is that those of us long-term players who are getting such free rewards instantly have already put in the effort, regardless of whether we're a veteran from 10 years ago or someone who just started playing the game earlier this year and already has alts.
It's a bit like someone refusing to go on a short training course to get a job he wants then cries when someone else is handed the position who took the training months ago and is therefore qualified. Such people are lazy and full of self-importance. They think the world owes them. I have no pity for them when they miss out because they don't want to do a little bit of grind that they will benefit from in more ways than one.
Lol.. If playing an MMO involves leveling up 10 characters, then I really have no idea. It's obvious that you didn't even read what I wrote or you didn't understand it, so there's no point in writing about it here.
Are you dumb or pretending? I have spent and spend more time in this game than ten of you. It is clear that you do not understand what I have written, so I do not want to waste my time explaining it further. Congratulations. You are the ideal target customer.
I don't even care about ♥♥♥♥♥♥ icons and you're making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because someone has a different opinion.. LOL
i have more than 10k hours played and find it fascinating that people are complaining about a free reward for normal gameplay.
Number 1: Where have I commented on what "you have written"? Victim mentality much, or just a desire to be the centre of attention? I wrote about people in general. No-one cares about you. Grow up, lad, you're not that important.
Number 2: You don't have any idea how much time I've spent in game, since my profile is "friends only" access. Further, I have over 5,000+ hours in game. Pray tell, what more can insignificant you teach me that I don't likely already know? I don't care for your "appeal to authority" fallacy behaviour, which once again is all about you craving attention and trying to be the centre of attention on a topic was never meant to be about you. Grow up, kid!
Number 3: I'm their ideal customer? Was that an insult or a compliment? Either way, I don't really care, since it's coming from you - Mr Insignificant - and you don't know me and I don't have the slightest inkling to know you.
Number 4: No dear boy, you're maintaining the "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" by replying to comments that weren't made to you, don't even mention you, and couldn't care less about you, yet as a self-identifying FOMO individual you clearly felt compelled to reply, in spite of yourself. If there is a storm, then you're the one flying around in it like Dorothy. So do us all a favour and tap your ruby red heels together and buzz off back home, before you bore us with your continued histrionic presence.
Number 5: Since you have outed yourself as a FOMO fairy: you're lazy, you're pathetic, you're unbelievably boring. Why boring? Since you claim to have "ten times more hours" than me, that'd be 50,000+ hours - a BS egotistical claim if ever I heard one - but even if it were true, to only have made one character and run around with just him for all that time and never create just one alt so as to try a different class, different role, different race, different skills, etc... wow, so boring and unimaginative. How do you even call yourself a gamer with such a blinkered approach to an MMO that offers so much more than "lock yourself into one class/role/race for 10 years" attitude? Are you still wearing the same underpants your mommy bought you as a kid? Does she still feed you like Robin Arryn because you refuse to swap to cow's milk? I mean, you're clearly only 12 and behave like an immature spoiled brat, so it's not beyond possibility.
Number 6: You deserve to miss out on the free reward for not putting more effort into an MMO you claim to have 50,000+ hours in. Your words. There's more to gamer life than running around ESO with the same dude for 10 years when you could have created a whole host of free alts by now and learned to utilise multiple races, classes and roles. Since you admit to having not: this is a you problem, not a ZOS problem. It also means that by limiting yourself to one character that your 50,000 hours of singular class/role gaming don't mean jack against my 5,000 hours with 12 characters representing multiple races/roles/classes. I have more experience in every respect than you, even with less hours, by broadening my game style and learning how practically every other skill in the game works through hours of levelling versus the single range of class skills you have stuck in the mud with. Weak. Boring. Don't talk about the game not being "groundbreaking" when you've been afraid to go beyond one character for years and wouldn't know groundbreaking if it slapped you in the face... I bet your personality is just as lacking and incapable of trying new things... like making friends instead of being self-loathing and alienated from the wider community here that might have helped you had you been more respectful.
Conclusion: No skill styles for Dorothy. Boo-hoo!
No sympathy warranted here!
Move along, move along!
Yeah, it's typical of kids nowadays to try to outmatch more experienced people with outlandish claims to prop their lame arguments up. I once saw a guy claiming to know more about some part of WW2 than actual combat veterans who were there because he "read a lot of books and watched all the History Channel stuff" on it. Cringe!
As for me - the evil thingies won't mind getting zapped by the old-school looking skills...
Don't worry, you have plenty of time. Just make sure to do one normal random dungeon per day and maybe a couple of daily quests/endeavors. Maybe ask someone to carry you on the first loop of the Infinite Archive, it gives lots of XP. :) I'm sure you can stil get the style pack!
