Who are You? What did You get for promotions like that?
And why only get styles when got 2 characters above 50 lvl? Not everyone is 24/7 in game. People have lives. I have only one character above 50 lvl since many years, so thanks for nothing i guess.
It's becoming obvious that they want to force people to play. Especially new players because they don't care about the old ones. Even the profile of the golden pursuits indicates this. It's best if you buy all the add-ons and spend hours in the game, not days, because the servers won't keep up, as the last event showed.
Some of us have multiple characters for different roles. :)
Like a tank and a heal.
And I'm pretty surprised that this was free tbh - Good on Zos for that!
So I guess a Merry Christmas is in order. :D
It should be 2 level 50 characters, an active subscription, or an account created since launch.
By the way, having a job isnt a factor, as most mmo players are adults with careers.
Nobody's forcing you to play the game. You either play it as much as you can, because you enjoy something about it, or you don't play it. Complaining that a MMO requires lots of playtime is weird, it's how these type of games are always designed and meant to be played. Your attitude is like eating an ice cream you ordered yourself while complaining it's cold.
With all the double XP events that happen every other month, it's easy to max out a new character just by doing one daily random dungeon per day.
Every in-game event has a completion condition. For this event, it's 2 alts. If you can't meet it, you don't get the rewards. Simple concept, really. For reference, last event required you to own High Isle, two dungeon DLCs and also have a well-geared character to complete said dungeons once per day-- which is a much, much bigger investment, yet most people would say it was a nice event.
edit : unfortunately , its not all abilities
You probably weren't the brightest candle in the candlestick, were you? I've probably spent slightly twice as much time in this game as you and I've been in it practically from the beginning, so I don't understand where this statement that I'm complaining about having to spend time in an MMO comes from. I'm only criticizing certain steps that I find strange and controversial. And which have been intensifying for some time now, clearly promoting an intrusive business model. I found it unfair that the reward is only for two characters, because I was only developing one. Why do they only reward players with two and not, for example, eight, when there are so many places for characters? Why am I forced to specific behaviors? It's just an opinion. The same or maybe more constructive than yours, praising the developer to the skies for who knows why. Without offending you, it looks like an advertisement made to order.
I'll go now before I get banned from another forum in the name of freedom of speech for unjustified criticism of a developer ;)
It's clearly not my problem or my fault you got triggered by a slightly positive post about being thankful for a good gift.
If you actually had decent reading comprehension skills, you'd see that I ridicule their in-game store and lack of good rewards in December right in my opening post.
I'd rather have a good event with free rewards that requires a little work than only new paid stuff in the store. Your barking at the wrong tree here, because this promotion/event is absolutely amazing for anyone remotely interested in the game and in customizing their characters. Anyone who thinks it is not is blinded by their hate for the game, at this point just stop playing the game if nothing in it brings you joy.
I have friends who don't really play the game anymore, but this event made them login just to get the gift.
Most people have had more than one character for ages, because most people who know how to have fun are interested in gameplay variety and new experiences.
Leveling your characters is a basic mmo feature. Back in a day doing a full level up of the character in WOW and other MMOs was a big thing. Yet again you show complete lack of understanding what this genre of game entails.
