safe to assume steam scans game files before release to public?
game community hub says over 9000 in game. 1 or 2 of the 9000 may also have a virus scanner. there are not 9000 posts about the game is a virus. other antivirus programs are not flagging game as a virus.
so safe to assume the antivirus running on your machine had its definition file updated and is now reporting a "false positive"?
report it to your AV company so they can determine whether it actually is a virus
or a false positive and they update their AV definition file.
read a few web articles on antivirus "false positives" so you can determine yourself whether an app needs to be blocked/quarantined immediately or wait for the next AV definition file update or should you grant access.
