Questing in ESO.
Hello ESO people.

So I know that I'm probably the only one here, but does anybody feel like there are so many quests that you don't even know what path you should stay on? I'm playing a nord and I feel like the quests take you all over the place. I even feel like I get lost from time to time...

Anyway my question is that does anybody else feel this way? I just can't get a good idea on how to handle all these quests...

Thanks!

There are only one main quest to proceed the story the others are side quests.

It can be seperated easily which one is main quest which one is not.

The main quests give you one skill point each time you finished it while the side quests does not give skill point.
Each time you finished the main quest you would be appoint to travel to next quest.

I advice you to do the quests as much as you can it's the best way for leveling uo and improve your skill.

PS.You don't need to do every quests.

yeahk, it is a litle overwhemling at 1st, but worth the time, i just do every last thing in each duchy/county/region and then move on to the next personally.

Isn't that a good thing? To immerse yourself into the quests and lore typical to a TES game, while having the option to engage foes with other players.

There is no 'right' path to approach quests, you forge your own.

You have a point. I just felt like I was being pulled from one end to another and before I know it, Idk where I was lol. But yeah.

I feel kinda stupid not thinking about it that way. Pretty much how I played MMOs. I guess I'm still learning. lol

My advice would be: try to turn everything white on every new map you enter. Its the best way to dont get lost and have a objective in mind.

What I do is follow the main path around each zone, checking the locations of the different quests, and do a few at a time if they are really close to eachother.

And what Primo said, once you finish an area it will turn white on the map.

I check oon UESP and see what's relating to the main quest line in that area and what's not.

I have completed everything in the early zones but one problem I've foudn is now two my chars are levelled above the zone they're in. It makes quests easier, yes, but the loot drops and quest rewards are usually levelled well below them, as well as vendors don't sell stuff levelled high enough for them. One of my char just hit lv40 and she's not in a region where she can kill lv40 enemies to fill the right level of soul gem, if I run out of soul summons to resurrect her. That's a prob too, especially since the main story quests are getting harder (I died at least 3 times during the last one). So now I'm doing the main questline for the region first to have access to the next region so my chars can have access to the right level of enemies, loot and gear. I can always go back and complete an earlier zone later, I figure.

The developers clearly went with quantity over quality for the quest and the game severly suffers for it; very boring.

I have a further question..... How can I get back to the main quest if I accidentally abandoned it....? TT

I agree. there are really nice quests.. but they are the minority..... and its far too much... i'd rather like less but more interesting ones.. where you dont ish to rush trough (which are the majority, with some exceptions... )
