I want to tank, should I roll a DragonKnight or Templar?

My favorite class to tank with from any MMO ever was a Juggernaut/Guardian in SWTOR. I'm really hoping for something similar. Is there anything like it (if you know)

Also, what are the pros/cons of each class?

i made both and so far the templar has more heals but the DK has more damage. this is just what I found on them playing for a while on each.

Yeah, I would go with a Templar, since most tanks are meant to be support, and you can do that really well with healing.

i strongly recomended to play a NORD DRAGONKNIGHT, if u feel like tanking
a tank is meant to b a tank, not a support, unless u play casual and lack the knowledge from endgame dungeons/trials

Yeah, but I could tank/support at the same time as a templar, right?

in low lvl dungeons, yes, but if u wanna tank the endgame, ur support aka healer must do that, if u want ur party to be more effective/competitive

Sorcerer has several resistance skills so you might want to roll one

and by endgame i mean some nasty dungeons like imperial city prison, white-gold tower, city of ash, dragonstar arena, all the trials (all on veteran mode)

hes right, any class can actually tank
but a dragonknight will do better anytime

I've always heard Templar > DK.

Yeah. I've not played yet, (Applying patches now, wow it takes forever.) but I've seen most people say that end game the Templar is more viable.

well, if u wanna tank as a templar, since u heard most benefic things bout them from others, b my guest
im just talking from my ESOs experience
do what u wish, play what u feel like

Yeah. I think I'll roll a templar (Buddy is a DKnight tank, so variation is nice) as soon as I get through patching... 47% now that everything is downloaded and just applying.

i don't think having 2 tanks in a party is variety, you guys will also struggle to que for the same instance, usually 1 tank, 1 healer and 2dps per party so rather go dps or healer if you want to play with your friend.
