Windows 10 & McAfee Internet Security (Firewall) issue
Anyone figure out a workaround from McAfee Firewall besides shutting it off? the game gives me that crash error right at login if i have the firewall on. If it's not activated it works fine.

I tried adding it to the exceptions, or adding those TCP/IP UDP #s into ports. still crashes. running out of ideas.

I think the first thing you should likely do is get rid of that awful McAfee program. God that's almost as bad as AVG.

For real, those "high-profile" virus programs are generally crap especially when Win10 has Defender in it that actually works if paired with Malwarebytes or something.

Stuff like that program is always going to give you random gaming troubles and interfere with your operation. Might be great for an office or stuff besides gaming but not for gaming without working around it, and that's BS.

lol yeah i suppose so, though my McAfee came free w/ my internet (sub is free) so it doesn't cost me anything :p I think it's owned by Intel now O_o

I dig it dude. I just hate those programs with a passion. I haven't used it once- windows firewall and windows defender work a bit better in win10. Maybe at least look into switching your protection out for the windows ones, and adding something like malwarebytes or spybot.

That will cut down on like 80% of your game conflict issues from firewall/AV issues?

otherwise good luck on a fix, maybe there's one already on the actual game forums? I'm sure you can't be the only one who's had this problem

kind of amazes me after all this time and all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with those programs they don't allow for easier workarounds on standard gaming stuff. Maybe they've just captured the older non-computer people demographic and they're fine with that. Hell that's still plenty of money i reckon

I would recommend "finding" a copy of Malwarebytes Pro to deal with malware. Those combined should give you a pretty good overlap of protection.

The "pro" version costs, but I've heard it rumored that some people have the nerve to actually pirate it! Not that I would ever advocate that or tell some one to do that but if you couldn't afford who knows where your search will lead.
