Should I Buy the Expansions?
Hi folks, I am a huge fun of Skyrim and a beginner of ESO, played only 20h so far. I found this game so intriguing and now I'm considering buying the expansions for the previously released extra chapters. However, as you can imagine from my playing hours, I have barely beaten the base game. Should I buy the expansions now or defer till I complete the base game? What I can expect from all those newer chapters? Thanks!

honestly i'd recommend playing through the base game to get a more long term feel of the game, if you find yourself still enjoying it then the chapters and dlc's are definitely worth your time. the chapters and dlc's are pretty much just extra zones with there own story/campaign that also have new weapon/armor sets, a trial that comes with each chapter/dlc, dlc dungeons that are sold separately, gameplay mechanics like new classes or trait lines, as well as access to the follower system with later chapters, etc.

Go with the Expansion its saves you money on DLC'S and really think about Getting ESO + that will make your game more Enjoyable, the basic game is ok but let me tell ya you'll wish you went with Expansion right away , the Perks are AMAZON ...have fun any way you go...!!

would say play what you heve purchased for now. if you still want - game goes often on sale - then look for collection("gold road" currently) version, not upgrade (no second key for base game). may consider from time to time to get eso+ and keep crowns as there are dlc's that are accessible only through subscription or purchase from in-game store (and they periodicaly go on sale too). if you decide to stay is not bad idea to create couple more characters with different class/race and park them near the stables for mount training - bank is shared between characters.

Buying it now would be smart while it is a BUNDLE sale if you wait you'll pay more (JUST SAYING) ,

I wouldnt buy expansions until you see if you can resist paying for storage. If you gonna pay for the storage you might as well go balls deep.

At the end of the day, it's:

1. Latest expac + sub to have access to everything (temporarily, except for what you buy)
2. Buy everything.

A lot of money in the end, so make sure you actually like the game, and don't just get to level 20 before making that decision.

Nothing wrong with waiting until you complete the base content. Still, I feel like people who only buy the base game get a bad impression of the game. No companions, vanilla areas/appearances, much smaller game world, etc. It's worth getting the pack with all those expansions that come along with it. It's not everything, but it's the lion's share of content.

If money is an issue, you can actually wait for ESO+ trial weeks (they happen like twice a year), and check out the rest of the game during those weeks.
