Endless Archive is so toxic and not fun.

Disclaimer, I am a huge fan, HUGE fan of this type of gameplay inside another game.

when WoW released Torghast I immediately became hooked and still to this day loved torghast. (Lots of people don't like this repetitive style of play but I do)


What made Torghast great?
1. about 80-100% of my runs I ended up being super super Meme powerful if you will in some weird and fun/different way. With the amount of power ups that dropped you always had a huge variety to twink out your playthrough run/build.

The huge difference between that and ESO's version of this is in Endless archive it's very STATIC and determined how many new abilities/buffs you get with the Verses/Vision system.

you get WAY LESS choices.

Now, this would be FINE, this would TOTALLY BE FINE if the rng wasn't so god awful insanely bad.

i've spent hours and hours and hours going through an entire run to never get a single Vision drop of something i've needed.

for example i played the entire evening last night on my Sorc and the ENTIRE NIGHT i kept getting Frost related buffs and fire related or Stamina buffs when i literally didn't need them.

i got so fed up i would sometimes just reset after the first 3 visions i got were WORTHLESS to me.

Devs,- this is NOT FUN.

I want to be clear about this, i am NOT complaining about the grind, the amount of time to grind. I don't want ANYTHING handed to me. but this needs to be fun, that's literally the whole entire point in playing games, and this is NOT fun. there is not Dopamine hook either, i've actually become JADED to it at this point.

I kill a boss and say to myself "ok lets see what TRASH i get now" *clicks on puddle* oh loook! what a surprise! more trash!. I pick some useless buff and keep going. The content itself getting harder and harder and harder because i'm literally getting no buffs i can use.


this needs to be looked at. I'm guessing it won't though because the elitists in this community shoot down every single piece of feedback this game ever gets.

IF you don't like, don't play this content. Stop crying, IA is fun. Is not their fault if you don't have abilities/skill to endure in there. I can't get in arch 8, still I'm not opening treads to show my lack of stuff.

you can get broken op builds in IA, ferocious, fire orb, exsanguinate e.t.c. if every buff was good it wouldn't be much of a roguelike

the buffs arent much of a factor to good players.

for the record, my 11yr old daughter loves infinite archive, and she does it with her companion.

if it were “toxic,” i would hear about it.

Toxic= Poison= Stupid= Don't stand in stupid, get more CP and experience (below 300 hour playtime minus launcher running in background), those bosses are way weeker then their counterparts from dungeons and trials, at least in first Arc.

nothing needed to be countered because infinite archive is easy and fun. my 11yr old enjoys it a lot with her companion.
