Transmute crystal system is insane
People who are saying this is not bad are actively doing something that we should NOT have to do to obtain more crystals.

Let’s recap what’s going on here.

Let’s say I spent days. And I mean DAYS farming one dungeon. That’s just one dungeon people I could get my stickers all collected for waycrest sewers. That would bring my cost of creating an item down to 25 crystals PER ITEM.

First off. Ignoring how utterly INSANE that grind is. Even 25 is too much for ONE. ITEM. One item people !

One item that I’ve ALREADY EARNED as a drop. Here’s the key here that is driving me insane logically. Like. I’ve already spent the time to do the dungeon. I’ve ALREADY received the item.

Now if I don’t have the storage to hold it. You’re not going to charge me to grind even more to get it all over again.

Now let’s talk about how to obtain. The most common way is To do your daily.

Well guess what. That’s only 10 crystals !

10!!!!!!!!! What everyone is commonly doing is switching to another character and doing their dailies in multiple characters.

People. This is not an acceptable play style or grind. That’s literally insane.

I would have to do my daily. On 3 characters. Just to create ONE ITEM of 25 cost. And that’s AFTER I’ve literally spent my entire life in that dungeon for an entire weekend to get that cost down to 25.

This is a very important point everyone is ignoring. Getting that cost down to 25? Requires an unhealthy amount of dungeon grinding and that’s just for ONE. DUNGEON. Out of how many dungeons are in this game? Once you wrap your mind around it , it becomes insane.

This needs to be fixed.

You dont know how it was before Markarth update: 200 X same dungeon and still no Fire staff. :P

see/google: cyrodil - home(!!!) campaign reward* + once a day opening reward of the worthy from mailed

* 20 min repairing walls per character; making camping "home" is important, but can be home only for characters from same alliance.

(have never bothered with random daily dungeons)

Umm... if you've "spent your entire life" farming items from a dungeon, how come you don't have any items from it and need to grind dailies to get those items back?

I understand that when you look at it thinking "that is a lot to do just to get items", this system does seem insane, but it actually is complementary.

The way you're supposed to get items is to just run the dungeon and receive them as a drop, or ask someone who got them to share with you. Transmutation allows you to reclaim lost items, or change their trait to a better one, but it's not meant to be the main way to get them. Like in any other MMO, you're supposed to get items as a drop, transmutation just makes this process less frustrating.

And that daily isn't the only way to get the crystals. You can also get them from leaderboards, or trial weeklies, or campaign rewards, rewards for the worthy, and for playing Tales of Tributes. So, basically, you get them just for playing the game.

And please tell me how you've reached the point where you need every item from every single dungeon in the game. THIS is the only insane thing for me here.

You sound like a friend of mine that plays since beta, is maintank and still misses items she would actually have to use, but when she rants she adds "I have a life too, you know.°
Just do a rando now and then, play cards.
If you actually "need" a set for something, surely your friends or group that you need it for helps. If not, just wear something crafted.

Do you even play this game?

if you played the game you would know it's for Traits.

So? I know how this works. You are meant to run the dungeon to get the items you need WITH A SPECIFIC TRAIT since you need this spelled out. Until it drops. But thankfully, there is a system that allows you to reduce the grind, so if you don't get the item WITH A SPECIFIC TRAIT since you need this spelled out, then you can just use transmutation to get what you need. Transmutation reduces the grind.

it takes some getting used to but it is quite manageable

there are a few ways to stockpile transmutes..
for me it is ToT / RND / Undaunted

If you are trying to outfit a few characters at a time it can get VERY expensive.
pick your best character, outfit that one first and then use that one to grind out sets/TMs

Just do rnd on all your toons it’s not that deep or hard throw a few pledges and battlegrounds in for good measure. It’s a game it’s meant to be played. It’s end game level gear you are working towards of course their not gonna hand it to you on a silver platter.

its hard at first but at some point u will swim in transmutes and have nothing to use them on.

my suggestion would be to;

1. do pledges. they give transmutes and keys, that u need too anyways. + you get easy into some vet dungeons and stickerbook fills passively too.

2. monthly cyrodil pvp tier 1 reward. every month before campaign resets u can farm 25k AP (dont forget some cheap 50% torte buff) and get easy 50 transmutes

3. random normal dungeons. yes boring, but easy and fast 10 crystals + stickerbook.

4. alts. doing rnds on multiple chars can give u a ton of crystals if you really need them now. also doing pvp t1 reward on multiple chars is really stonks.

5. only reconstruct gear, never transmute. you can always deconstruct not anymore used gear and get 25 transmutes back.

6. a lot of content gives them passively, too, not huge amounts but stacks up again.
weekly leaderboards, trials, card game, all kind of pvp, events like anniversary

is literally NOBODY here capable of actually making intellectual points?

"hand it to you on a silver platter"

they aren't handing gear to me, I already grinded the dungeon for the gear - I literally already earned the gear. FFS

if you spend days filling the sticker book i assume you are doing the daily every day as well.

there are 3 dailies plus your first random. you get 10 per daily and a random amount for the random dungeon, usually 4 - 10

that's 40 per day with just daily dungeons. why are you quibbling on a 25 cost when you still have 15 left over?

you're not ment to fully deck your character out in 1 day. unless you are really lucky with drops. even then you would likely need to reroll trait and that's 50 a pop.

Clearly you didn’t earn it if your sticker book isn’t filled or you don’t have the transmute amount you need. farm rnd or do cards or PvP. Really not that deep no idea why you having a hissy rage fit over transmutes… it’s not limited to you only we all have to farm them the same way. Get over yourself and take a chill pill.

Ps . If you were “ intellectual” yourself you would know you aren’t supposed to just run the same dungeon over and over to maybe get the traited piece your supposed to fill your sticker book than farm transmutes to recon them… clearly your not doing that. Not that hard run rnd on alts….

Some of these players don’t get the concept of an mmo and grinding and how it’s supposed to be a slow burn to end game and not a mad dash.
