How many mounts are earnable in-game?

I was just wondering cause I started this game within the past few months and it seems like there are almost no rewards to be earned in game? FF14's latest expansion alone had 49 earnable mounts in-game just for that one expansion... ESO is looking predatory imo

Ironically, one of the reasons why people are the way they are today is not enough spoons.

My grandmother had a wooden fork and spoon set that hung on the wall. Huge things. Each one was around 4 foot long and a few inches across. Mahogoney or oak. Sturdy. Intricate carvings throughout. She would use the spoon on people who didn't behave in her kitchen.

You be quiet, do what you are told, don't act up and don't mouth off to grandma or she takes the barbarian sword spoon off the wall.

im sure she had a wonderful, real pot to use that cataclysmically large spoon on, when it wasnt being used for beatings.

Base game is 20, Necrom 50 and Gold Road 60. Be dishonest somewhere else.

Also, I never said I expect 'no monetization', at least get into a discussion in good faith instead of as a bad actor. Still doesn't take away the fact heavily leans into aggressive monetization of their Crown Store and gamble crates.

By the time someone has enough endeavors the crates are likely already out of the rotation, unless you farmed them well ahead of time. You're not going to get 16k points in the three months a specific crate is available. The endeavor system is only there to satisfy Microsoft's policies at the lowest effort possible.

earning endeavors for mounts is quite tedious tbh, given itll take you at least a few months to buy a mount through that. there should have more free mounts that you can buy with gold tbh

Not every endeavour mount is 16k, far from it, and not all of them are a limited time offer. All-Maker's Bear, Dwarven Spider, Horse, Senche-Raht and Wolf are permanently available and 8k each.
While limited, Black Mane Lion, Clouded Senche Leopard, Frost Mare, Mind-Shriven Horse and Red Pit Wolf were available for 3.6k. In the same price class Quintessential Camel, Speckled Wolf and Urshilaku Nix-Ox are permanently available.
And last but not least, Golden Eye Guar and Palomino Horse were temporarily available for just 2k for at least a couple weeks.

So that makes 8 permanently available mounts that you can buy with seals of endeavour and 7 that were temporarily available, but pretty affordable.
Yes, it takes work to earn them, but they are available completely for free through in-game activities.
