How many mounts are earnable in-game?

I was just wondering cause I started this game within the past few months and it seems like there are almost no rewards to be earned in game? FF14's latest expansion alone had 49 earnable mounts in-game just for that one expansion... ESO is looking predatory imo

I remember my last vet trial about 5 years ago - the wowfugee crisis had just begun - we had a new guy from wow he cld not stop talking about mounts; and down to a man everyone else to him to stfu and learn the mechanics.... NO CARES ABOUT MOUNTS IN ESO!

This guy single handedly converted me to pvp in one run xD never looked back.

Now ppl can jst upfront pay for achievement and carries we worked months for on release - this is why u cant have nice things. 'U' trivialised large portions of the game and want more mounts from achievements... bro...

and other competitor mmos require you pay a monthly subscription to even play beyond a set low level, so your argument isnt working here

FF14 is simply a better game because of it, so the argument does work. If ESO took the percentage of people who subscribed and gave that percentage of in-game rewards vs cash shop items, that would be more fair, but instead only 5% of things are earnable ingame and like 95% of things are purchased in the shop. There is no way only 5-10% of the playerbase has subscribed, it has to be higher than that.

FF14 also has a free trial that lets you play the entire game up to level 70 on every class (base game + 2 expansions) completely free with unlimited playtime. You can earn substantially more rewards by playing FF14's free trial than by subscribing to ESO.

ps also, eso free trial has no level cap, you can technically reach 160cp also with unlimited play time (within the free trial period ofc).

It's about having something to earn? There are no satisfying rewards for playing ESO. It's the same way with minions in ESO. There are over 350 earnable in-game pets in FF14 total. ESO has under 10.

Wow, most incomplete link.
There are 4 mounts you can earn from doing trifectas and some other challenges in raids
(Sunspire, Rockgrove, Dreadsail Reef, Sanity´s Edge)
and one you can get from collecting Maligrphic Ichors in the Infinite Archive.

Those mounts are mostly irrelevant, only 1% of the player base will ever earn those.

In ESO you have a surprising amount of mounts that can be earned ingame.

You have the basic 3 that can be bought from any trainer. These are really basic horses. Nothing fancy.

From there you have several mounts tied to achievements like the eponymous Sunspire Senche. Looks amazing and comes with a non combat cub version as well. I believe Blackwood has a trial that gives you a mount as well.

Scrying has the Ebon Wolf, a real snazzy mechanical wolf mount. My only complaint about it is the animation is scuffed on the right foreleg when you sprint on it.

A lot of login campaigns have free mounts in them as well. I think in janurary they had some durzog I think as a free mount.

There is the Endeavour Shop system if you want to even consider that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Good luck on that though it takes forever to farm those seals.

If you're not looking to spend your own real money, you can buy crowns from other players and just buy a crown mount.
