the crap map system ruins the game
if your next objective isn't located within the local map good luck trying to find it, it doesn't show up in the expanded map view. if you want to waste hours pointlessly traveling from one zone to the next trying to find your next objective buy this game

You can see where the quest leads in your journal by pressing M. Most of the quests are in the same zone though, and if a quest takes you elsewhere NPCs will most likely tell you in the quest's dialogue.

Yes, objectives normally do.

I never had a single problem finding the way in over 3000 hours of gametime now.
Idk where people struggle in something so simple.

I don't know anyone with such a problem. If you spend more than even 10 minutes trying to figure out where to go, then it's a problem on your side.

press J click the quest, and press M

OR you can also read the quest, usually the description actually pretty detail, thats something most people forgot and take granted for
Not only can you right click on the quests title in the journal then click show on map.

You can also get "Minion Mod Manager".

Which will add many different quality of life improvements.

I suggest Minion Mod Manager.

Couldn't play ESO without it.

check also your game setting. one of the tabs have options regarding the quests symbols and how it shows on your map and on the UI
He's not alone - its not very intuitive for new players. It took me a while before I figured this out. So while some of you may find it simple, I can tell you that quite a few others have not.

He is just stating wrong facts, not asking for help or anything.

nothing wrong with any of my assertions, the quests don't show up on the world map. the quest log might give you the name of a city but not what area that city is in. its useless really bad design but i guess wandering around through region after region hoping to stumble on the right one so you can see the objective marked on the map counts as game play to some. really bad

Maybe reread what people said, you can select a quest in the journal and press M to see the objective on the map. It's written in full letters in the interface.

And like I said, except maybe one quest per zone (that leads you to the next one) and the prologue quests, the quests you pick in a zone are generally done in the same zone.

Are you serious or just heavily confused? I guess some people really wouldn't even know how to open the inventory if they couldn't use Google.

Sounds like this is the wrong game for you. There are tons of brain dead games out there that auto runs your character to quest location, maybe go play black desert instead.

The solution to your user error problem has already been posted multiple times so I'm just going to take the time to point and laugh at you as somebody who grew up on Morrowind Era map and journal systems.

In theory you can read the quest and find familar location name on the map.
But yeah, f_ck reading, damn millenials.
