Yeah ZOS had boring chapters with bad story and boring content but who cares now?
ESO is one of the last MMOs who didnt fork up much. And its still fun to play and return to.

Honestly, I just wanna see which characters make a return in this one (aside from the ones already involved in this, like Leramil).

Would be nice to see a quest for the Dark Brotherhood, since they pretty much live in West Weald's backyard.

I'm also interested in the direction they'll take with Ithelia. Are we going to "forget" her again, and this is why she isn't mentioned in chronologically later games? Or is she going to stay?

Nah, not really. I'll most likely be playing through it pretty late again anyways because I have extreme social anxiety and I hate people doing the new content in swarms and judging me for not oneshotting everything but needing two or three attacks instead. I'd be oneshotting too if I had meta trial gear which I can't get becuase I'm solo and I'd need specific dungeon gear from dlc dungeons that I can't solo (I can solo all base game stuff just fine though) on veteran mode and will likely be instantly kicked because I don't have meta gear from trials. Joining a guild is not an option as I'll most likely be kicked after a week as i haven't had luck with guilds in other games for a decade. Also I hate it when people camp on an npc so I have to skip all dialogue these days having to read up on the lore later as my makro for interacting automatically spams invites to nearby players as well as interacting with stuff. So I try to play suring less crowded hours.
I really hate however the new system for skills. It will make getting into groups even harder because there will be meta with this new stuff as well and having to grind for this kind of stuff just to stay up to what alcast says is honestly a bad design in my opinion.

… so you say you cant do good dps because you dont have trial gear…

… and you say you cant get dlc dungeon gear because you will get kicked for not having trial gear…

… you say you cant join a guild because you have bad luck with guilds…

none of this is true, other than “luck with guilds” which isnt a thing. guilds dont just kick people after a week unless they are causing problems.

Play a healer then. I run Symphony + SPC + PA, can do vet dungeons just fine.
Healer is easy mode, just buff people and keep them healed. And you can switch to a damage dealer after you collect all the gear you want for your build.
