Is there a way to join the Veiled Inheritance?
I'd like to join these guys, any way to?

Nope. The story quests are generally very linear with no real sides to choose from. So yeah, no supremacist elves to join.

yea, bummer. i had just grown weary of all the peacenik cancel culture elves, sounded like some fun to join the other side. Usually, (and historically) when the ruling class savages the reputation of an outcast class, I have natural reason to doubt the veracity of the ruling class and by default, I will lend my ear to the "deplorable" outcast class. Ruling classes to me are power-prone to being the dystopian enforcers. Would be fun if I could hear the VH make their case and hear from their side and then I could judge my side. But oh well, I guess it's just going to be "yes, my queen this" and "yes, my queen" that.

I see your point, more options are always fun. Although the Heritance are not exactly outcasts and more just supremacist traditionalists who want summerset for the altmer only.

Also, i was curious about what you mean regarding the 'cancel culture elves', it's not really a term i would expect to be used in this context ;)

I'm sure they have a reason, maybe even a good reason? Maybe they were horribly mistreated? Maybe they have been oppressed by the ruling class? Maybe their traditions are better than the current supernaturalist practices of the rulers? Perhaps their traditions are actually more scientific. Who knows.... "Traditionalist" doesn't presuppose a negative connotation to me. And "supremacist" is the accusation given by the ruling party, which may be based on their own power hungry prejudices. I know its a mute point as you say but just for fun I would have liked to have joined them. No worries, mate :)

Oh gee what a surprise. The Aldmeri Dominion is peacenik cancel culture sjws? Good Lord. That makes zero sense. What a copout from whomever writes the story.

Huh. I wonder why you're so disappointed that you can't join the setting's equivalent of the KKK. It's a mystery.

I don't know if he's going to take your bait, but the real stupid thing isn't "not being able to join a kkk equivalent" rather that the Aldmeri freakin Dominion is written to be some sort of high minded enlightened crap, in complete opposition to Altmer haughtiness and inherent superiority complexes, just because Bethesda/ZO needs to feed in to "feelings."

They aren't though. The AD plotline is -full- of perfectly faction-loyal Altmer who think they're better than the other faction members. Arguably Ayrenn is the only actual exception, and even she get a bit funny about the Bosmer sometimes.

The Inheritence aren't "we're just better than you", they're straight up "everyone else should be enslaved or murdered, keep the homeland 'pure' at all costs, including working with the (im)mortal enemies of the gods who are why we claim we're superior" nutjobs.

Absolutely! I have grown weary of the higher than thou pompous piousness attitude of these self-righteous rulers and am beginning to see them as oppressive, and suddenly I am sympathizing with why there are classes of individuals who decided to rebel against the "enlightened ones". I would like to join the rebels (if I could)

Or maybe it's written to not be a carbon copy of the Third Dominion we see in Skyrim. And if you think they're the good guys you may want to reread the fine print.

The first goal of this incarnation of the Dominion is to reestablish Elven dominance over Tamriel to "protect it from the carelessness of the younger races".
While they do it differently and don't show as much supremacism as the Veiled Inheritance or the Third Dominion, they still think other races are too young to take care of themselves or the world without altmer supervision.

I wouldn't mind people being able to join the Elf Supremacy as long as i get a Pelinal Whitestrake faction to join to clean the land of MER

I like how the aldmeri dominion plot is literally killing a Hollywood meme of racial supremacists, its like an unemployed Huffpost blogger wrote a script for $15.

Ulfric Stormcloak was fairly well done overall, worth actually joining and playing through, but playing through about half of the Summerset quests just scraping for Gryphon gear I literally cannot take it seriously. Veiled Heritance though? Its no less pathetic to be cartoon nazi than it is to be "my anti-racist 9 year old".

I just long for the days when you decided who the baddies were and hit them with swords/heavy objects. No soul searching, just mindless violence. Sigh.
