Bullying tactics... right. As if you're not the one over here whinging about a game that you claim you don't even play anymore because you "want the game to be better". Give me a freaking break.
If you don't particularly enjoy reading my topics or posts, you can always use the Block function and live your life and go play some ESO. That is the adult thing to do. Not getting angry and trying to tell who can post and what type of posts on a free forum that is meant for ALL kinds of opinions and feedback. Remember, you are not center of the universe that decides what others can or cannot do. Or you feel that way that you are? You are the main character only in your own life, don't try to act as such over others. :)
Trust me, it'll be easier if you accept that you cannot affect some things and other people in your life, a lot of stress and burden goes away when you just go "Well, this is not my business to tell others what to do.." and just go do your own fun daily things instead. Especially, when i have done posting about games for years, as long as i have done my cosplay hobby also. You think you can change someones personality and their posting habits just because you do not agree with their view? Come on now, be a good sport. Show that ESOfam community spirit, eh? Or is this what it is these days? If so, then not a very good look. Yikes.
I have a decade of time and emotional investment in ESO. The success of this game impacts me, as a player. It does not impact you in ANY way now that you've quit. Move along.
So a decade worth of emotional investment. Now we did get to the real reason of your attitude, emotional reaction. In mmo gaming that is very much known as the "sunken cost" emotion, with both money and time invested into a game, especially by the ones who go all in on one game.. so it becomes personal for them, and not a product as it is, games are a product might i remind you. Products that can either be improved or destroyed during time based on their management, same as any business in life from restaurant to games companies.
And they are currently taking your money with minimal effort given back. You know this also, or you would not even bother to reply to my topic. You came in the forum and you agree in your heart, but that causes your emotional reaction to fight the truth and instead admitting it, you tell me to be quiet and leave. So the tough truth would be silenced and no need to face it just yet.
No.
I'll stay, and i post reviews, opinions and feedback as always. And play games solo and with my friends.
I love talking about games with my friends too. Steam is best platform. It has both the actual games to buy right here instantly (today i bought a bit of "P2W" for Throne and Liberty (outfit from cash shop lol), that game has giant whale logo popping up when it launches, it made me giggle the 1st time saw it) and also can chat and review games on same platform with others. Most community is very kind and nice, few grumpy people will never ruin my day. So i wish your day gets better too, go play something fun. ^^
Read my flippin' post. Not going to repeat my reasons for defending the game just because you didn't pay attention to a thing I said.
Also, go ahead and stay, just don't whine when people like me call you out on your hypocritical approach to this subject.
I did read everything. And my answer holds. You just think your message has some sort of meaning to others, when it only has emotional meaning to you. Because you are in a reactive state right now, clearly frustrated.
But again, you seem stressed out so please take my advice and just block me so do not see my topic if me and others who have different feedback you do not agree with are annoying you too much, so you can go on with your day. :) But alas, i fear based on your reaction - that it's exactly what you want, to target your frustration over the game to something else and that is me in this case.
Remember, i am a real person. And i am just talking about a game, that is not a person, but a product that can be improved or destroyed by the ones managing it, i can only give my feedback and hope for the best.
We are here to talk about games, products. To me it is weird that sometimes have to remind people about it. Oh and do know, i am quite pleasant as a friend. I have friends who disagree with me about many games, but we never ask the other to "move along".
You know, you can disagree like adults and be respectful about others opinions and feedback. We still play many games with friends, even if some games we do not play together, because someone does not like that game. But many games we can share and like together.
It's not in real life also if one of your friend does not like the same food you like and are eating - you ask them to leave? You let them eat what they want and say their opinion and you can comment their food also. Normal adults can do that without emotional reactions. :)
This. Glad I'm not the only one who sees it. She's sitting here acting so innocent and kind and respectful, yet she escalated our brief exchange to an argument, while literally ignoring posts I made, all so she can keep dissing a game she CLAIMS she quit. Then, she rushes to the BuLLyiNg comment when people call her on it. Definitely a toxic mentality.
True. ^^
I had very much fun in Early Access, game is so pretty and pvp action is made in fun way, the events and world bosses that become chaotic fun is such a great time!
Throne and Liberty has big potential, we shall see how NCSoft & AGS does things, i am very skeptical though due to past record, but.. i am giving them a chance and see how things unfold. Not gonna make it any sort of "main game" though, but it's gonna be fun for a while every now and then. It's one of the games that yes, like ESO, will have a few defining moments ahead of it when the Devs are making decisions.
The road maps are looking promising, both PVE and PVP are getting more content, so that is refreshing. And as long as they don't make very bad balance decisions or some surprise P2W gimmicks that go overboard.. game can find probably easy 100k+ concurrent players between all platforms, i got several friends playing it on console, did hear it's quite chill with controller on big screen while relaxes on sofa. ^^
I did try without Battlepass and no money spent (besides now to outfit that is cosmetic, no stat) so can say it's actually VERY playable for fully free to play players. One can start making Lucent in game by just playing it.
It looks stunningly good in Epic graphic setting in 4k. And i was on pvp event with SO many on screen and it worked perfectly. So after they fix the initial connection issues (hopefully, or i will make my best "dead game" post ever about TnL :P ) Competition between MMO games is good for the entire MMO scene, or some old games becomes low effort when they think their players have nowhere to go so they pump out mediocre stuff.. but now we gonna get these shiny new Unreal Engine 5 games, and TnL has been good fun. Let's see if it lasts, gonna be interesting! If they push out good content for both pve and pvp players soon enough, i see bright future. It has solid foundation. Up to Devs now how it goes. Players know what they want, let's see if they can deliver.
Oh well, i wish you all awesome day no matter what is your mmo game of the day. =)
113. The Elder Scrolls Online: 8,661 players.
ESO is not even in top 100 games anymore, yikes.
Hope Developers still can somehow turn the tide and make content and updates that would bring players back. This is not looking good. Maybe would be time for them to listen to player feedback again and stop ignoring even Beta server feedback always from old players.
In ESO official forums people are making topics asking Devs to do something about the shrinking population and declining quality. For the old faithful players, i do wish they can pull a big comeback on next Chapter in 2025.
In my view, it seems like ESO had far outlasted it's heyday and is slowly dying. To be honest, it feels like a mere shadow of what it was.
RIP ESO.
Not exactly objective and if anything pretty bigoted opinion. As they say 'on this doll, show us where did ZOS touch you?'.
