I'm almost 100% positive I didn't but lets say I did what would I do to fix/find out if I did?
Edited Part: but they sent me the Verification Email and I got ti so it was the right Email then and it is the same one now so idk, Thanks for helping me BTW:)
You might want to try a different username.
^ This one.
I recently tried to create an alt account and it kept giving me the same error. Found out it wasn't my email, but the user id. Wish Zenimax coded the error messages precisely to what the issue is.
So when I signed in the first time I used the same User name is that why?
I might be misunderstanding what you're trying to say here.
By Zenimax account, are you trying to say that you already have an account for ESO? To double check, I'd suggest going to login to your account at account.elderscrollsonline.com. If you can login, you already have an account for ESO. You can link it to your Steam account from the site.
If you don't want the hassle of linking it from the site, it should prompt you the first time you are trying to login into ESO via Steam. You should select the "I have an existing account" as opposed to "New to the game". It should automatically link the accounts for you once the credentials are verified.
I'll walk you through what I did:
I started up the game and Allowed it to make changes to my PC.
It started up that news area and Updated that.
I clicked play and it toke me to Zenimax.
I made a Zenimax account with a name Email password and Security question.
They Emailed me saying it was a success and I had an account.
I went to the News thingy again and clicked play and it started ESO.
I clicked play and it asked me to either sign in as a new player or if I had an account.
If I click new player and fill out the Username and Email it says invalid Email, but if I click I have an account it asks for a code which I don't have.
Is the code somewhere on the Zenimaz account and if so where, and if not why do I need a Zenimax account.
Should I just try logging into Zenimaz and doing idk what???
Sorry if this is supper obvious and I'm just being a m0r0n, and thank you all for the help:)
Yes, it does seem you already have an account. Use the same "I have an account" option.
The code should be in the email registered to that zenimax account, as you call it. Don't forget to check your Spam/Junk folder.
And the answer was I am stupid:)
Thanks for the help, still took a few minutes to figure it all out but I got there, thanks everyone:)
