Fake roles are killing the fun of eso
How many times playing random dungeon u like to start soon your role but you cant start fast,so you get fake role and change your main role in another one not yours.
These players are killing the fun to play a random in group! STOP PLEASE,why YOU STOP the fun to play this game.If a dungeon in group can be fun,now you must to kick them or left group why these idiots dont understand.
And players that plays eso since years must to left group or stay until the end.

If you wanna chill in a dungeon just go solo. There are lots of builds that can do solo every content in ESO ( dungeon wise ).

True... or you can "run" the dungeon and chill when it's finished. There is nothing stopping you from going back and mopping up or looting chests if that's your thing.

I've been doing this but the game throws you out too quickly (the countdown starts). I guess it has to do with how quickly the others leave?

fake roles have been with eso since 2014 and will be there until it shuts down.

To be fair, in dungeons nobody seems to care about roles. I rarely get healed, everyone is speedrunning through the dungeon (some don't even pick up the free questline for XP and awards) and more than half of my dungeon runs (level 44 only) I could not even keep up with the others as they literally sprint through the map, while my stamina cannot recover fast enough when I try to shield bash in a boss fight.
The mechanics are logical in that. The player behaviour is not. Most players are ignoring content and want to rush to endpoint, boost themselves to that point without actually enjoying the road to that point.
What is the purpose of doing a dungeon if you laserbeam through every enemy before your teammates even get to that point in the map? It often feels like the matchmaking makes zero sense and top CP level players simply use their teammates to piggyback ride them throughthe dungeon.
Several things...first of all congrats on taking one for the team and playing a Tank main. You will be rewarded with shorter queue times and your teammates won't call you out for faking. Second, yes any leveled character just runs through normal dungeons because they already have the quest completed. Most of the time if you say 'need the quest,' they'll understand, even if they go ahead a bit. On normal dungeons which you have access to at lower levels, tanks are mostly not needed, but for even normal-level DLC dungeons tanks are usually important and many groups will wipe without them, so if you stick with it and level to cp 160 you will find better completion rate of those dungeons than a dps who gets stuck with fake tanks that queued. A lot of players are just speedrunning dungeons for fast leveling and daily pledges, but once fully leveled there is content for which tanking matters a lot more.

I seriously think the only way the Devs can HELP this type of situation is by changing the rewards for a Random Dungeon and Pledges. Double everything for a Random Veteran Dungeon that you'd get on a Random Normal Dungeon, same for vPledges. Double the XP and double the Transmute Crystals. Including doubling the rewards for doing vPledges HM, not 2 Keys and 5 Crystals for all that effort. How about 4 Keys and 10 Crystals for doing vPledges HM. It never seemed right that you'd get the same amount of rewards for doing something more difficult, or every time I do a vPledge DLC Dungeon and do the annoying HM of it and only get 2 Keys and 5 Crystals... always feels like a slap to the face reward. This might entice more players to do RVD's instead of flood it with fake roles in RND's as well. It won't fix the problem, but might help.

Actually, there is, because if the group leader dispands the group, you don't have the time to properly sweep the dungeon, because the game removes you from the dungeon after a relatively short amount of time.

normal dungeons and most vet ones can be done with 3 dps and tank, assuming you got halfway decent builds and know mechs. honestly like all of them on normal can be solo'd, just enjoy the carry fam. you are not missing anything in them.

Because of the power creep, the base and dlc dungeons are practically a cake walk for anyone thats why plenty just zoom through it. If you want more challenging content, go for Black Rose Prison/Dragon Star arena/trials. There, things are a bit more organized and you'll find more friendly group mates.

How is the fun taken out from you if people queue with different role? Like what fundementally changes so mutch that it makes the dungeon unfun?

Anyways dont blame the player. Blame the daily rewarding system. People have to queue daily to do these dungeons and since its the best way to gain XP they have to do it with every character. And they want to do it fast, no one wants to take long time with chores.

"bUt ThEy DoNT HavE To ?!?" Yes they do. Its an mmo with a progressing system that is based on XP (and longass grind in that taking into consideration how many cp levels there are), which results on people having to do chores to gain the XP.

How could they fix this? Easy.
1. Remove the daily XP reward from dungeons finder or heavily nerf it..
2. Add solo dungeon queue so people can grind these dungeons solo for the reward.

I dont want to do these daily dungeons, but i have to because the XP is so good. So i want to do them asap which means i have to queue as a tank even tho im dps. This way the dungeon queue is fast and i can fast carry the dungeon. Im only doing it because the XP reward is too good to miss out on

Good advice, thanks, will do that.

Just use soulgems, lmao what is this... nobody cares about roles, all party can be dps... boss attacks you and you kite it as dps if you flimsy.

Kids these days want a tank and a healer for random normal difficulty easy dungeons.

Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass but some people are just too stupid to know what role is which and should better stop playing

lol nah i fake tank constantly and people will either keep up with their tank, or potentially miss credit and loot. people eventually learn to keep up with their tanks.

Or they'll learn to kick their fake tank, like my partner and their team did yesterday. If you're not going to be a team player, why don't you use the group finder to find like-minded individuals, instead of being a selfish prick that tries to dictate the pace of the entire group?

the salt isnt necessary, and if they want to go slow and open containers and read bookshelves and roleplay, they can use the group finder for that. its extremely rare for groups to get 3 votes for a kick in an rnd.

And still fully justified. It goes both ways: if you want to rush ahead, past enemy groups and optional bosses, you can equally use the group finder.
No matter whether someone is the only person rushing ahead or the only person holding the group up, they're being selfish pricks and should've probably used the group finder.
