The Elder Scrolls Online

64 Bit Client
Is there a way to get the game to automatically use the 64-bit client? Read the patch notes, and it says that to launch the client you'll need to select it manually from the install directory.

oh yeah just saw that i was under the impression when you first update the game it gave you an option if you wanted 64 bit installed or not in the update screen.
Just tested this out. Looks like the updater only launches the 32 bit client.
Maybe an option in "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS" ?
Or do we have to choose between Steam and 64bit?
Looks like we have to choose between them for now, unless there's a launch option. There goes the convenience of the overlay.
Never mind, just do this..

STEP 1:
go into this folder:
steamapps/common/Zenimax Online/ The Elder Scrolls Online/Game/Client

STEP 2:
Then rename eso.exe to something else, I did old-eso.exe.

STEP 3:
Then rename eso64.exe to eso.exe.

Bam 64 bit and steam.

Can confirm this works. Thanks!
bumb for an awesome fix!
Steam-ADD A GAME...-Add a Non-Steam Game...-BROWSE...-select ESO64.exe from(Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client)-ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS

You can rename the shortcut in Steam-Library-eso64-right click-properties. I dont recommend to rename the exe because it could cause you trouble at the next patch.

Its the first release of 64bit and they said they wont update 32bit anymore so they probably will give us the option to choose between 32bit and 64bit in the future.

I looked at my ESO folders and I was only able to find eso.exe, I could not find eso64.exe anywhere o.o
Maybe I'm really stupid with this, but how do I notice the changes from the 32 to 64 bit clients?
One thing I noticed trying to run the 64bit through the launcher with The Brown Weiner's suggestion, it crashes when I click out of the game while on the web browser. I always play the game borderless fullscreen.

Hmm, not having any problems here with that I run borderless fullscreen also. Possibly video card related? I run Nvidia.
I did see on the offical forums, or reddit, I forget, that a dev acknowledged some issues with the 64bit client and they are working on a fix.
