adults dont keep necroing crappy troll threads they made using false information. blocking you now, you dont deserve the attention
Oh well. Real world does not work like that luckily. :)
Hih, but due to public love and request, your favorite cheerful friend of statistics and gaming discussions keeps going on as long as there are mmo games to discuss, reviews to give and feedback to unleash. And yes, sometimes it is negative, for a good reason.
And no necroing here, if people or moderators feel the need for a new topic at some point, it is as simple as making a new topic, i can do it in a 30 seconds. But.. i doubt anyone wants more of these kind of topics at once? Or am i wrong? So i have been only polite and kept my topic count at one here in ESO discussion area. Because some people still would post to the old one, then there would be two or three of these topics all in 1st page, oh dear..
But please know, i am ready and willing to anytime make a new topic if needed. ^^ But let's stay in one topic, to keep it nice and clean without feeling your friend Lelu is everywhere. Sometimes i am almost too much even for myself. :P
Hope you all are having a most wonderful gaming weekend!
new world is garbage.. i played it.. it had buggy ending, boring and very annoying combat... and broken market where smart people were breaking the economy. And it has less content than this game.
Is answering to other people posting to my topic "spam"? No it is not.
I am allowed to answer. :) It can take also any time it takes, as long as it's not many months. Also. in reverse, i do not need to answer to all posts, i can pick whatever i want to answer. That is how it works. Some people should know the rules and how discussions in forums generally work.
It does not work so, that you report anyone who disagrees with you. Reporting function is not something to abuse, you only use it for a legit reason. Reporting someone just for them to have a different opinion than you (that you might not like, but that is not a wrong thing to say or have, this is a discussion forum where all kinds of opinions are allowed to have, same as game reviews, can be negative or positive about games, not just one type of feedback - that is the whole point of Steam forums, to be able to have honest discussions) is not a thing adults do.
You can disagree with your friends in real life too about things. It's called having opinions about things, games, hobbies, matters of personal preferences and taste. I feel some people have been starting to forget others right to have different opinions. Maybe some people play too much games and somehow think they are so much the "main character", that everyone else should agree with their view on things, like they are the center of the universe. But life does not work that way. Better learn that lesson early. :)
But then again, in ESO in game also whenever i did what players do in Cyrodiil (pvp, playing the game as intended), and am quite efficient at it, some people did send messages like "reported" after the fun, then they got all the time to write messages while back at gate spawn lol.. Some people, do not know how games work or how forums work. :)
I played ESO for 5 years, i saw everything. Every kind of people. It was like a micro cosmos of this forum. And i play by the rules. :) Some just do not know how things work in real world, same as in games. Think they need education on being polite and being able to have discussions when other people have different opinions than them. Good thing Steam forums are a free place to discuss and give reviews about games, and also talk about their issues when those are real and bother many players.
Yeah 5 years.. of course it was fun, during it's peak and when it works. Like one of biggest issue for me and all my friends was always the performance issues (namely the horrible lag, that made pvp feel literally unplayable, yes can technically login to game to say its "playable", but everyone knows what you mean by that when Cyrodiil lag hits and there is seconds skill delay and crashes and rubberbanding etc enough to just logout in frustration), same was in Veteran Trials scene, people were quitting due to issues.).
Last year i kinda played still because friends played. Have you ever played a game, where you all are already unhappy for some time, but because your friends still play it you do also? We had memes that we laughed about, how badly it worked and how miserable it was to often read patch notes (the combat team of ESO *sigh* and their changes to the game most often..) etc, you know.
But, when the game works (and has a good update)- it's good fun. I have said it before. Game has great potential to be good, but Developers are ruining it themselves. I wish it was run by someone else to make it a game worth playing again (for me and my friends, not saying anyone cannot enjoy it, some do still). It's just for me or my friends it is not possible right now, because we do remember the better updates and know also how much potential the game would have if someone would just put some love and effort in it, instead of low effort milking of money from players. They should be ashamed of themselves and fix the game.
I feel they do not wanna put money and effort in to fix issues. Because some defend the game as perfect even when it has issues, because maybe they do not suffer from them so badly as some do. So in the end those people get the game they deserve, because soon no one left who asks for fixes. So problems will come to normal overland playing too eventually worse and worse. :/
Edit: And about New World, i did play it during it's launch, for a while. But have quit that game also, for now. So am not here to try "sell" New World to people. :) It's quite not for me, i like currently other MMO games, but i do often try many games, it's good for a player to try many games out, can sometimes be surprised. New World had semi-fun pvp for a moment during it's launch. But i always felt the combat a bit sluggish for my taste, the weapon skills sort of lacks "oomph" or how you say it in english. So the combat feel is not that great, for me personally. Some other games have far more fun combat for my taste. :)
Especially when considering the whole point of Steam forums is to talk, review and tell opinions about games. Literally to whole point. And it's not always only positive. But some seem to have only emotional reactions where talk is about their favorite game. Then they act like children and attack the poster instead of just sticking to talking about games, as is the topic.
And i am a pvp player, and been playing since young age, with "the boys" from same pvp guilds in a few games, so i have sort of heard it all, but still would think people be having a basic level of politeness in the forums and not act like children towards fellow players? I wonder if they talk same way to girls irl, to their sister or mother? If so, i feel bad for them.
It amazes me how some think they are some standard police here that tells people what games they have to "like it, or else.." and gets called a troll and personal insults. They do not understand, that i can talk about games (products) as much as i please and tell how negative feedback i want, this (Steam) is exactly the place for it. And if they don't like it? Well they can just ignore me and spend their own time on something else. :)
I’m not sure what your actual point is. But mine is, this person has created a post in bad faith to bother players of a game they don’t like or even play just to stir the stink pot. And those asking mods to have this toxic thread locked or telling op to stop are being called a “bully” and are gaslight by them. The only “schit show” is those defending ops toxic actions.
Reporting won’t do anything in fact around here it will prob just get you banned. We can defend the game and try to prevent toxic bait and for some reason it ends up back at you. Best thing we can do is not respond since the mods won’t lock this thread.
This has always been a problem online in any manner of online forum. Even before people got access to the internet through things like AOL and Juno, etc in the Dial up days and BBS's and the Usenet forums if you had access to it back in those early days.
Moderation isn't what it used to be and is very difficult because of sheer volume of people using services and that a whole lot of people are triggered by a whole lot of different things, pretty much everything when you get different cultures interacting.
We used to call them flamers for the flame wars, now people brand them trolls.
Its the lack of Face to Face and anonymous nature of the internet and its forums that allows many of those people to show some of their personality traits often kept hidden in actual public encounters where they could be punched or shot or called out quite publicly among peers or whatever for being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or an ID-10-T error.
And the funny thing is, i even accept the normal level of "badmouthing" and have sort of normalized it, due to the boys at pvp talking like that always, but..
i expect at least if someone gonna insult me, then do it smartly, be funny or creative about it, do it in a way that is not against any rules (or laws), have a bit of innocent fun if have to have in my expense, i fully endorse such. Like smart insults are actually fun, when you hear something new. When someone finds a way to say a burn without breaking any rules, to a point many even misses it. Like those are enjoyable and i applaud such effort and creativity. ^^
But like junior schoolyard tier repetitive personal attacks without anything actually fun in them just gets tiresome. If cannot even do personal insults properly without seeming like it's over someone's lil nap time, and they are grumpy because of being a literal baby, when someone disagrees with them, in a gaming forum discussion lmao.
Some are here to "defend a game". But have they considered one thing.. if a game IS good, it does not need anyone "defending" it, because there would not be people to complain about it's many issues. I'm not only one (my friends did quit also, and so many others) with these issues. Or is "defending" a game these days same as trying to silence anyone who talks about it's issues?
And have people forgot, that even in the case someone would be actual troll (i am not), then their raging attack posts just everytime bumps those topics up to first page? So i don't know.. their own rage just seems to go to waste? *shrugs*
In any case, i wish everyone is having a fun weekend no matter what games they play currently!
Sometimes some just have to learn and accept that they have no control over other people. No matter what the case is. They should also take the fact into consideration, that their own judgment is clouded by personal bias (loving same game enough to take any critical feedback about the GAME like it was about their family or something, when it's only about a product, a product with severe performance issues etc, but apparently to some "it's a perfectly working 10/10 game and anyone who does not agree to that is a troll, it works perfectly for me." Come on. ESO has it's issues. Still, most people can accept it, even say it is. And by minimum, most people can say what they still enjoy about the game, even if not agree, but at least no need to personally attack the poster for most. :)
You see, there is a difference. You can go post anywhere what you want also. Imagine me following you there and telling you what you can post and what you cannot? O_o In a gaming forum about games.
