Kings fall with time and are replaced eventually. Simples :)
That would have been way too predictable & cheesy :) (but it never gets old!)
Yes, even the big ones can fall eventually, if they are not maintained well and wisely. :)
WoW has had some rough situations too (compared to it's most known, popular and liked expansions), and they have reacted by replacing lead developers in teams etc, to bring changes to systems to be more in line what majority feedback has requested.
Compared to that, ESO does not really change their lead devs or combat team much, there was one very known person leaving the Combat team years ago, but outside that a lot of the personnel responsible have been the same last years. So same patterns, not much new or reactive actions based on players feedback ever happens at ZOS for ESO, they do only minimal effort last years.
Endless Archive has been the only exception to the usual pattern, so at least there was something in the 2023 cadence. Now, if only they could also fix performance and other issues, put in crossplay to help with queues and population related problems, it would help. But i do not see them willing to put that much effort in the game anymore, not with clearly new projects taking most of their developer time and effort, sad times. Actual content seems very thin for 2024.
The beauty of free forums to have discussions about games (and ESO is a game) is to be able to have all ranges of opinions, both positive and negatives, and all the shades of grey in between. It is not just unanimous circle of forced positivity, IF a game has actual issues like ESO does.
Or are you honestly saying the issues i and others have told for years both here and in official forums, in ESO twitch channel (they ban people for it though, when saying "fix cyrodiil" for example), in Twitter, everywhere. People say there are issues with performance (bad for years, sometimes literally to a point of players saying ESO is "unplayable", yes you can login but everyone knows what you mean when lag is so bad that does not even want to play anymore for that day), dwindling population in Veteran Trial endgame groups, even content creators like NefasQS and everyone talks about this and acknowledges this. Endless bugs, low effort amount of content.
So are you saying all that is not true? That every other player and content creator are lying about all the issues?
Truth is, those legit issues are making people uninstall and quit, those did for me and my friends also. And so many others. If those were fixed, some might return. So there ALWAYS is a good reason to give feedback, in trying to make them repair something at least. But many feel ESO developers do not listen at all, same as in combat balancing etc, that is why it's often atrocious. Because they are not very good at developing their own game. It has and always has had great potential. That is the silly thing, they have had great thing in their hands for years, but some people there are letting it be average product with bad reputation (does not respect old players time & money invested in the game).
Once a game studio gets bad reputation, it takes lots of effort to get it back. But do you honestly think "defending" a bad product helps? It just gives them excuse to not do anything and keep pouring out thin content because people buy and think it's enough and fine to play a broken game. Compared to what it COULD be. :/
The Elder Scrolls Online is currently among the top most populated MMOs, and the game is ranked 11 out of 140. This month, the game peaks at 223,117 daily players, and it has seen steady player growth over the past month. And now The Elder Scrolls Online will see another huge spike in population with the release of the Gold Road DLC this June.
In a way, the trolls are contributing to the game's popularity by spamming their lies on the game's social media platforms.

Sorry, but all you "shatter" is your own credibility, when posting repeatedly that false data from a site that uses Reddit accounts as "data" to guess player numbers in games, instead of any kind of actual account data.
Anyone can go check that site, then click the About page, and there everyone can see with their own eyes how they gather their "data" (fully inaccurate with bad method, like really bad). So yeah. A bit embarrassing to post such false data. :)
If after 9 years on Steam you still believe that most people buy the game outside of steam then there really isnt any hope for you....the vast majority of people who only owned the game through the zos website did so in the first year of release as it was not available on steam then, for the other 90% of the time the game has released you want people to believe that this is such a unique game that people chose not to buy it on PC's most used and populated platform, but instead navigated to ZOS' website and bought it there instead.........no, simply does not and did not happen. You should 100% heed your own last sentence.......
How about this one to destroy an ignorant, worthless trolls weird, awkward, sad, pathetic narrative?

In 2023:
BDO LOST TWO SPOTS
ESO GAINED 4 SPOTS
That doesn't sound like dying.
Keep spamming the same vid, someone might eventually believe it :D lets compare MMO's that are only available on PC to MMO's that are also on XBox and PS :D yeah ok.
I get it little buddy factual actual DATA from a reliable source that shows ESO a VIDEO GAME YOU DON'T PLAY is NOT dying is NOT data you are willing to accept. Surprise surprise.
Just ignore this thread these two have been reporting and trolling everyone in here for over a month. Save your time as you can see they don't want to deal with actual facts just want to harp on ESO at its lowest times during the day. They have serious issue, I mean once this guys heard the 300lbs dude in his moms basement wears cats ears he hasn't left and is desperately trying to their attention. .
