I Finally Found Out Why I Was Banned. Pathetic.
ESO is the biggest joke ever. They finally contacted me through Bethesda support on Twitter, send me a email, and says they have banned me due to multiple chargebacks of a third party retailer (steam). Basically I refunded ESO+ membership because it was recurring payments, but it’s advertised as one month and that’s all I paid for. This happened two separate times. I literally contacted steam the day of the charge both times, got both refunded, and didn’t get membership for free or anything because it was clear I got it refunded so the membership was taken off my account, so at this point I was giving nothing free and I have paid for everything I have ever gotten from ESO including 100s of dollars in DLCs and probably up to 1000s on ESO+ since my Xbox days. With that being said, they are trying to say I need to pay them the amount I had refunded or they will not unban my account even though I do not owe them money. So guess what, I tried out New World. Honestly, I am loving the game so much, even if ESO or Bethesda Hits me up and says look we realized we messed up you’re a good paying customer here’s your account, I don’t think I’d ever pay for membership again. I’d probably just play for PvP every now and then but besides that, I’m having a blast on New World until a even newer MMO pops up.

thats quite unfortunate, so its like a ransom?

Bye.
Can't see reason why you had the problem in the first place.

The OP apparently wasn't aware how a subscription works. You can pay 1 month at a time, or 3, 6 or 12 months at a time. Each block of time is a different price. BUT no matter what is chosen it IS recurring. That is what a subscription to a service means.

So each month ESO charged for his subscription which he apparently bought. Then he charged them back instead of cancelling the sub? What he did makes zero sense and due to his own ignorance he is banned. Do stupid S*** and stupid S*** happens.

At the end of the day, it's up to ZOS to make things clear and provide customer service in a satisfactory manner. They did not in this case, so he is taking his money elsewhere.

That said, recurring payments are dumb and exactly why they should go back to selling sub without recurring payments in the blocks that they used to. But due to their greed they won't, and that has cost them a customer and will get them negative publicity if and when this post is seen by others.

It's funny how ZOS has a rampant problem with "misreading" by customers, even for editions of the game. Can't have it clear as day for some reason. It can't be possible that it's intentional, right?:steamhappy:

Exactly this. People won’t take the time to read basic information than blame others for their own mistakes.

Their membership couldn’t be any clearer if you can’t read the information provided it’s a skill issue aka you can’t read.

Also they stopped crown trading (it’s back now ) and banned many accounts because scammers were doing shady charge backs. So I can’t blame them for banning him for what looks
Like a potential scam.

You would have been banned from any online game if you did the same thing.

Uh source? I'm pretty sure they banned crown trading because people were abusing the power of currency to get things for cheaper than the official store.

Example. Get a friend in Argentina to buy the same item for $2 pay them $5 and you save 15.

There were entire websites selling such services and someone in the game told me they made over 5000/month doing it and they weren't the only one.

Then that same method was used by gold sellers to get a lot of gold for cheap and resell, increasing their profits. And their increase in profit meant a decrease for ZOS, and you don't ever mess with the money :steamhappy:

Know what I have to say about that? Pure incompetence. Such a scheme was even discussed before it ever happened on the forums and ZOS deleted post instead of addressing it.

Maybe you should play a game before you post about it. You shouldn't call other incompetent when you post stuff like this.

Doesn't say anything about chargebacks, also doesn't invalidate the alternate crown stores. For all you know they could mean using stolen credit cards.

Even if that were the case, it would make zero sense to ban a player that has many legit transactions, using their own card, because through that you would know it wasn't fraudulent at all.

Again, incompetence.

Again, stop using that word because in almost every post it reflects you.

You asked for a source that Crown trading was back because you were incompetent and stated it wasn't.

One charge back is fine, multiple charge backs like the OP stated he did is NOT. Maybe its a combination of incompetence and reading comprehension that is the issue you are having.

Actually you misread. No where did I explicitly say the bold. Help me understand how you came to that conclusion. I need to understand your comprehension. After all, you were going to go in front of class and teach.

Sadly, it seems you reneged?

Youre obviously not smart enough to understand a simple sentence. I clearly said I paid for 1 month, I used the month I paid for. On steam is says nothing about Recurring payments, and they agreed with me that it was falsely advertised and gave me the money back for the following month I was charged for, They took their membership back, i was given back my money, it was day 1 of the charge, nobody was given services that they didnt pay for, i owe 0$ to anyone, they are claiming that i should get the money to them from the charge backs, but i never used or received membership that i didnt pay for. If you cant understand where they are wrong then you just simply want to get on here start ♥♥♥♥ and thats what im leaning towards so ill just leave it at that. Grow up.
