Bought Necrom and got the old dlc too
Hiya I just wonder here how to play Necrom and the other dlc that was in the purchase of this lovely game.
I started off trying this game a few years ago didnt like it thumbed it down but decided to give it a second chance and very happy that I did since I do really t hink this is a very solid mmorpg with voiced actors and great atmosphere.

But my question is what sections of the world are tied to what dlc?
Thats not very clear to me and I decided to do the tutorial in the beginning too since its quite nice but started with the bow and the first "test" enemy you face was a total chore with a bow and arrows XD almost like its not planned that anyone uses bow against that enemy in the tutorial.

THank you for answers I do appreciate it. I want to start a few characters up you see in the respective different dlc to enjoy them as I go along.

Currently I started in high isle, but is it possible to go to all different places with any character anyway? The only negative I have to say about this game in general is that is far too easy to accept new quests so its tricky to track what on earth I was meant to be doing

Just want to add that you'll need the Imperial City DLC in order to access the Imperial City itself, the Imperial City Sewers, and the Imperial Prison and White-Gold Tower dungeons.

Craglorn is completely standalone; it was supposed to be the first in a line of zones providing additional challenges for groups of high-level players, but that was unfortunately dropped when the subscription service became optional instead of mandatory.

Also, Blackreach is split between the Greymoor chapter (which added the Western Skyrim and Blackreach: Greymoor Caverns zones) and the Markarth DLC (which added the Reach and Blackreach: Arkthzand Cavern zones).

BTW, are those dlcs locked behind crown purchases somehow?

Agreed, though the developers are (finally!) making it so that new players won't encounter so many quest-givers for the main quest-lines and prologs of the DLCs and Chapters all at once in the most-visited cities.

Anyway, to answer your question: Yes, just visit a wayshrine and "activate" it (keyboard default is E, Xbox controller default is A, Playstation controller default is Cross); this will open your map and allow travel to any dungeon, arena, trial, or any other wayshrine for free, just use the list on the right.

Imperial City is, yes, as well as the Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood DLCs. I really don't know why those DLCs haven't been made part of the base-game yet, but Morrowind has. Also, Craglorn is part of the base-game; to access it, locate the Star-Gazer Herald in either Mournhold (Deshaan), Elden Root (Grahtwood), or Wayrest (Stormhaven), accept his quest, and activate his carriage. This will take you to Belkarth, where you can use the nearby wayshrine to go somewhere else, if you just wanted to be able to access Craglorn more easily later on.

You also don't have to take on every quest right away; the beauty of The Elder Scrolls games is that all of these quests will always be available, no matter how long you put them off. And, if you do take on a quest, but decide not to pursue it, then any quest in ESO can be abandoned at any time, even just prior to completion, with no consequences, by opening the journal, highlighting a quest, and clicking the "Abandon Quest" button at the bottom of the screen.

BTW, so why havent they made it ordinary dlc so its just easy to buy this dlc with ordinary money instead of buying crowns then buy the dlc? Sorry XD this sounds funny to me..

Yes I know that but, its too easy to just accept a quest like while talking to an npc then oh great..
and its rather hard to figure out what level requirement it is.. Just started to try and help some farmer get back his goat but that was a bit too hard , died in the end towards the end of it XD but still .. Not really sure of any "safe areas" to level up grind in this game tbh..
