Bad Choices

When I started ESO yesterday (never played before) I made some choices that turned out to be bad. Namely, I chose to play a Wood Elf Warden. While being a Wood Elf is okay (even great maybe) yesterday's choice only verified what I have know for a long time...I absolutely suck with a bow. I've always been a dps or tank kind of player. I have no affinity for ranged weapons.
My question is: can I scrap that character and start a new one? If so, how do I go about doing it? Any advice or wisond would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can scrap and make a new one at will, you can have up to 8 characters with just the base game tho i heard that necrom chapter brings the max up to 20.

Before you hit play on the menu on the right side is all you need there will be a create character and a delete at the right bottom above that will be a list of all your characters.

You can scrap characters , but remember you can have more than one character ! ,... It is worth having a few characters if only to use some characters as storage chests ! ALSO IMPORTANTLY ! You CAN simply drop the bow and have a staff or dual weapon , I do like to have either bow or staff on one bar and dual / 2hander / sword shield for my other bar .. You will only get your 2nd bar at lvl 15 which if you had a busy day means it shouldnt be far off ! ... Staff and bow are very simmilar to use , ranged attack is very useful ! ...

game could do better with stuff they choose not to...

If you want other class, then create other char and let this one be. Scraping char is limited and you can change your mind in future.

You can play warden without bow. Warden tank is good, warden healer is top class. Warden frost mage (mag DD) is fun after buff it get. Stam DD warden can use dual weapon or 2H weapon

(and delete 3 character is for 24 or 48 hours(?) even after delting character after that time passes it resets again to 3)

it's 24hrs. I've deleted many a character lol

You can certainly scrap the character, but why? Any toon of any race and any class can use any weapon in the game. The only advantage Bosmer have with a bow is that the skill develops faster for them than for other races; it's not like they have to use it. My Dunmer (bonus to learning dual-wield) is Level 50 with Dual Wield, Sword-and-shield, Bow, and Destruction staff; 40-ish with Two-handed, and 30-ish with Resto staff. All I did was put the weapons on her front and back bars and then use them. They level up to 30-ish pretty quickly through normal questing and stuff, but getting from 30 to 50 can feel like a bit of a grind.

As for scrapping the character (if you're bound and determined to do that), remove anything from their inventory which can be removed (some stuff will be character-bound) and deposit that stuff in the Bank, including currencies (gold, Tel Var, AP, writ vouchers, or whatever). Log out to the character selection screen, make sure that character is active, and click "Delete" down in the lower-right. You can delete up to three toons per day.

I don't know if you can 'scrap' your first ORIGINAL character. I don't think so?

I just want to say a Wood Elf Bow Warden (Stamden) is not a bad choice!
