TESO completely removed Magic Schools & made all spells class/guild/world abilities...
Will there be no magic at all in TES6? Given that godd howard clearly hates fantasy settings, most likely, magic will be replaced with guns & the Magicka stat will become ammo.
No it really does not. It is an MMORPG by design. Yes you can play it solo more than others, because it is still made to cater to TES fans.
However, the entire game is different in so many ways, it really isn't an TES maingame, just an MMORPG that borrows elements from TES games.
You don't have custom classes, you don't have an interactive physics system, enchanting is entirely different, combat is entirely different, crafting is entirely different, magic is entirely different, there's physical based abilities which the games haven't had in ages, or ever if you don't count stuff like Oblivion's unarmed perks and daggerfall's climbing, it doesn't have magic schools, it doesn't have skill-trees, it doesn't have an evolving world, it doesn't have daedric artifacts as earnable weapons nor legendary unique artifacts and gear, it doesn't have long lasting permanent impacts upon the world (any npc you kill, even named ones, just respawn 10 minutes later inside of your game), do you need me to go on?
This isn't a real TES game. I love it still because i love the world of TES, but i genuinely don't get how you can actually think this is anything like a TES game just because it borrowed a couple things from them.
Passive or temporary pets does not a pet class make. The hunter class is also in no way a ranger class.
Ultimately, ESO is doomed to being generic in scope due to it's many limitations. That's fine, but the current homogenization is too much.
Eh. No idea what xxx wow game is, but WoW has some of the worst players I've ever seen in an MMO.
I've already stated that the generic nature of ESO likely won't allow for more fleshed out classes, so I'm not really expecting anything. Simply listing what I'd "like" to see.
There's way too much homogenization in MMOs in general. It's why EQ1 is still my primary mmo.
MMOs like ESO and FF14 are more or less my "chill mode" MMOs that I like to play on the side. I also like the ESO lore so that helps quite a bit.
imma gonna head back to modding skyrim maybe.
