Upgrade ESO Engine pls.
I just downloaded this for the free trial and i'm not gonna lie, the graphics are quite terrible even when maxed. Please upgrade the graphics Engine to that of fallout 4 or greater please.

I'm not typically one to complain but its just a little off honestly.

do you think the game is fun? if not move on
Alekero 10/abr./2023 às 4:35
Lol its always funny to see such stuff from newcomers (or even "trialists"). Anarchy online, UO and many other games got "not up-to-date" engine and graphics and still there over9000 ppl playin...maybe its not about graphics? :)

Any changes would have to be justified. Would the changes you are asking for lead to more players? Enough players to justify the cost? Not likely. If anything, it would lead to less players due to making the game less accessible overall. This isn't rocket science.

This is what people don't seem to understand.

WoW wasn't just massively successful because it was a great game. It was massively successful because it ran on a lot of systems.

Fortnite is the next best example. That ♥♥♥♥ runs on toasters.

game are not all about gfx, i like amgia games more than aaa modern games, gameplay is where it is at
Lol in terms of an MMO this game has one of the best graphics.... What do you expect. The older zones can be outdated but the newer ones are absolutely beautifull.

Never gonna happen. Too much effort.

Easier to crank out more reskinned junk for their cash shop and low-effort DLCs.

If they thought the Creation Engine could handle an MMO of this scale they'd have used it from the get-go. They didn't because it's far from optimal and was never designed for multiplayer games... FO76 servers can only handle 24 people and when they all get together in one area, such as a boss event, it suffers far worse than ESO ever would. The Dolmen zerg lag shows that even ESO has its limits but a FO76 server attempting this number of players spamming dozens of effects would just crash. FO76 can't even handle explosions some days without disconnecting everyone. It isn't about effort, it's just not feasible. Like asking an F1 car to downgrade to a Skoda engine but still be expected to race and stay in the points.

Oh, don't remind me of FO76. I still have nightmares of people saying it's an MMO.

Dolmens are passable these days unless there's a double XP event. Then you can just sit your character at one and wait. They complete so fast following the crowd is a waste of time for a tiny bit more XP per hour.

ESO looks great on my rig, but I tweaked the shaders and color palette. :masonfist:

Get RESHADE - it is able to push the game shaders and color palette.
I used it to help the game look more colorful, but it can also sharpen/smooth textures.
The skybox is tricky to tweak.

My game looks much more vibrant and smooth than my buddies and we both run the game on maxed settings.

It's a 2014 game, some of the newer DLC shows far better art level & design. The noob areas are old to be fair.

I thought Dolmens had a mechanism that kill you if you camp them without being active, to prevent AFK XP farming? And if people are using macros to trigger activity, that's against the TOS and can lead to an account ban. So it's not worth the risk.

Would be nice if they went over some of the older base game zones and retouched the assets and improved the terrain textures. A bit like SCS have been doing with their Truck Simulators for countries found in the base game that look bland in comparison to newer DLCs. SCS even go over older DLCs to make them better designed. And at no extra cost to players. They don't have subscriptions or a version of the Crown Store nor lootboxes, so make far less on the side than ZOS. It's always sad to see Indie development companies doing far more to maintain and improve their game visually as they get older than major studios are willing to even consider. ZOS are greedy AF though and don't respect players as highly as some companies.

Yeah, they kill people who idle at one. What I'm saying is to just kill enemies or pop a pylon at one dolmen and stay there. During events they rotate super fast.

Idk buy glasses xD On ultra this game looks nice for mmo, if u wanna epic graphic just Play new world :V

ZOS should fix the client (it can't start half the time) rather than improve graphics. No one cares about graphics when you can't even see them!

For those who don't know (cuz very few RPG gamers also enjoy racing games), Skoda is a brand of eastern European car. As such, they're considered very shoddy, which isn't helped by the fact that so many eastern European countries are very backward socially and technologically.
