Discord completely bugs out the game in multiple ways
Not happening to me, but my friend is getting completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by discord.
it cuts out his mic every 5 seconds i literally cant hear a word he says.
it lowers his frame rate and raises his ping so the game runs like crap for him
we`ve tried fixes, Run discord in administrator?- doesnt work
Change microphone input or output- Doesnt work
This bug shouldnt be happening in the first place cause ive found people talking about it from over 3 years ago

How would any game have anything to do with Discord? They're completely separate programs.

Doesn't mean they can't affect one another. I have the Discord overlay disabled otherwise I experience some weirdness.

That has zero to do with the game. Ask Discord to use better coding practices. You can always try disabling hardware acceleration in Discord or disabling the overlay.

Games do not call for exclusive use of the GPU in Windows 10, 11, 12 because the desktop window manager does and manages the game.

Old software that still runs on Windows 7 likely still calls for exclusive use. CHROME is one of the biggest offenders.

The issue is that Chrome's codebase is trash and has not been updated to reflect these changes so Chrome-based apps like Steam, Discord, Omen Command, Chrome, Chromium, Edge, etc. can grab "exclusive use" from any program that is coded properly.

They recently were updated to do so, and to do that they aren't going to be supported on Windows 8 and below anymore. Oh yeah, that's right, that includes Steam!
