I learned the lore of the companions on my first character. I do not need to sit through the Prophets lecture every single time I make a new guy.

I believe he wants to do the questline, just not have to sit through the Prophets history lesson first. There is no action, just a long, boring speech.

Yes, it's annoying, but it takes what, 5 - 10 minutes to do the entire quest. Just watch something else on your side monitor/alt-tab while he's talking

Well, you kinda do since each toon completes the Main Quest on their own. Doesn't mean you can't click through dialogue and get it over with, though (except for the first Harborage mission - you kinda do have to listen to him ramble as you move from place to place).

This. Whenever there is something I know I can't skip and don't care to hear again in any game I just go do something I'd need to do at some point anyway like refill my drink or go to the bathroom or do a quick chore etc. Usually that ends up making the actual "time to do chores" break much shorter since I've spent the boring game moments productively instead of just sitting there while being annoyed :D

Yep, I agree. And you can't even go AFK the entire time, because you have to activate him... 3?... times during.

I just made an Arcanist and I want to make one more character, but that stuff... ugh.

You need to do it if you want to level your Soul Magic skill.

Those quests are the easiest way to level, None of them take longer than like 10 minutes for the early ones.
