My bow disappeared

Total Noob. Really struggling with things as so many google searches reference old versions of ES games. Where do you go for up to date advice? ESO forum searches are full of stuff from 2014 and about 150 patches ago.
Other than that...Two main questions.
1.My maple bow has disappeared from my inventory. is this a bug or WTF?
2. More importantly the only merchants I can find seem to have 32,000 maple bows at 1 gp each but I can't buy just one! So that can't be right One maple bow at 32,000! Weird system of shopping. What am i doing wrong? TIA

If its not in your invo its in your second bar check both your weapon bars, or you've sold it.

Merchants or traders, if a maple bow is high price its likely got a research able trait, which is for crafting and high tier gear. You are better off either asking someone to craft you a level appropriate training bow or buy from the NPC merchant for ♥♥♥♥ all.

Alternatively random gear drops will be better for you before you hit level cap.

Did you accidentally deconstruct your bow? I've done that before in a oh crap moment.

Those bows you see for 32k might be basic looking but are probably nirnhoned. Mostly sold for Research purposes.

For guild traders, you can enter the amount that you want to buy.
