Cannot cancel subscription

I have a account in the internet and i play ESO via Steam, but i cannot connect both.
When i click on the button "connect steam", i get to a tab of steam, saying:

"Sign into account.elderscrollsonline.com using your Steam account
Note that account.elderscrollsonline.com is not affiliated with Steam or Valve"

I click sign-in and then i get following message:

"Error: There was a problem linking your account. Please try again later or contact our customer service."

So don't get access to my account and therefore i cannot cancel my subscription. Is this a known problem ? Help very welcome here.

Why would you want to cancel your subscription? I say keep it so that you can continue to support Zenimax and their good work

I don't know if this works, I've never done it, but hopefully it helps you.

In Steam click on your account name on the top right (Manage Account)
Choose Account Details.
Then under Store & Purchase History, select Manage Subscriptions.
It should have Elder Scrolls Online Plus Membership listed.
Click on the EDIT link next to it.

Hold on. Why is this person (Banned) all of a sudden? All they've done is ask how to cancel their monthly sub. That's a legit question. And they've been thankful for any help they've received.

Meanwhile trolls like that 99/DaEdRa88Hell person and other private account trolls keep coming back month after month and clogging up the forums with absolute nonsense.

The moderators on the forum ban anyone that speak ill towards the game. I was banned for mentioning Blackwood was going to be a bad game, which it was. I was also banned from the Official forums for reporting a troll throwing mudballs at players while shouting racial slurs in Roleplaying Hubs.

OP in question never even said anything negative about the game anyways. They only wanted to make sure they weren't on an autopay for the optional subscription. ESO doesn't require a subscription.

Well you just saw a guy getting banned for cancelling his subscription. I got banned for speaking against Blackwood. But if you want to be in denial, by all means. Being in denial is something ESO players is good at doing hence your game is way behind FF14.

Honestly it was probably done in error and will be unbanned later today or something, on the MTG Arena discussions someone made a thread titled "Black Aragorn"(yeah you can imagine how that went). Anyway they banned not the OP but 3 other people who didn't say anything wrong, then within 10 hours or less they were all unbanned clearly they just hit the wrong people an they locked the thread right after that
