I am dumb, Mini map :( please help

Hi! I was watching a video game on youtube. I was happy because he had a mini map on the top right so i play without going to the map map.

i downloaded minion and votan but it still doesn't work. help me please, ill make you a cookie cake with face on it.

but seriously, can you help me out?

If Minnion is installing the addons and you can verify the installation in the Documents-ESO-live-Addons, then it might just be turned off (shouldn't be). To check this while you are at the character selection click the add-ons tab on the left. If it is red you are missing a dependency or 2, click on it or go to the Mods page to find out which ones you need to install.

addons are also dependent on librairies to work. you can check which you need by click the addon name in minion.

Votan's minimap requires:

1. LibAsync (find in minion)
2. LibHarvensAddonSettings (find in minion)
3. Votan's Minimap (find in minion)

go into the add-ons section of the main menu to check if it's working or not.

Can you see it in the game menu "Add-ons"?
ESO can look for addons in one or another different places (don't know why):
Users\....\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns
or
Users\Public\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns
If your user doesn't work try to put them in "Public" user folder.

Have to hit escape key to bring up the menus where the add-ons menus are.

Just started playing (not on Steam) after a few years away and as per usual the first thing I did was download a minimap. 🙂

Even if you have the latest version, there's a chance that the game will still consider the addon as "out of date". To see if this is the case, you need to go into in-game settings and find addon tab. Inside addons you'll see if ESO considers your mods "up to date or out of date".

If the mod you want to use is considered "out of date", click on the box that says "enable out of date addons" and see if that works.

There is no box to tick any more. It was patched out for some reason.

If you did the steps others said about the correct file location. launch the game, go to the add on section at the main menu, a lot might show dependent for something, click the arrow on the left side of the thing you want. Go to minion with alt tab, and just type the name of the stuff that you need, and download it.

Now days it seems harder to have add ons. Or "harder" pretty sure when I use to play a bit years ago, you didnt need so many different add-ons just to have one thing work.
Your mini map should work if you do this. Or maybe yours is out of date, rn im using BANDIT UI, or w.e its called. I think it has a minimap function unless I downloaded something else, but its under its own BANDIT add on tab.
