You have 1,115 games and want a free trial? this game has trials sometimes, but not permanent ones. Keep waiting, search videos/reviews and decide if this game is for your or not. (probably they launch a trial period in the upcoming event - 28 july)

elden ring doesnt have a free trial either and nobody thinks thats weird.

theres plenty of videos on youtube of literally every game, to help you preview the game. you dont need a free trial, tho ESO just had a free trial literally two weeks ago.

There is a difference between watching a video and playing it an hour or two, plus this is an mmo, most mmos offer some sort of free trial, weird in this day and age. I didn't know there was such a trial period, will check again if I don't buy it till then

calm down my dudes

Free trials are off and on all year, iirc there are like 4 free trials a year. On sale the base game is like $5.99 USD.

I suggest buying the base game on sale. you'll get the morrowind chapter with it for free. that should give you access to vivec city and the storyline you mentioned.

have a good day o7

yeah I just missed the sale, and want to buy all chapters, and don't wanna pay full price for such an old game for now, hence my desire for a short trial to satisfy my curiosity.

1. Everyone who responded to your thread is calm. You simply didnt like people pointing out that you were wrong about no free trial.

2. Steam literally offers a free trial for every single game. You requested being able to "play it for an hour or two" when thats exactly what Steam offers for every single game, as you can refund the game if youve played it for less than 2 hours.

3. When you make a thread stating inaccurate information, you will have to expect people to correct you on it.

So not only does steam already offer you the thing you made a thread being upset about, but you then got defensive when people responded to your thread with accurate statements. Calm down my dude.
I dont like to exploit the refund system like that, it is not for trial. Rather than having a free base game, or a trial system that is active all the time, you are defending this silly paywall with terrible inventory limitations even with a purchase. Go ahead my dude, you seem rational and calm.

Your decision to not use a system that Steam set up for its users to use, that 99% of other people use, is your own issue, but making a thread claiming that it doesnt exist is simply inaccurate.

Inventory limitations? What? I dont have ESO+, I am a master crafter with every single crafting skill, and keep all the crafting mats for everything (except food ingredients cuz logic) on me, and still have room for thousands of pots, dozens of siege equipment, other gear sets, etc, because 210 inventory slots is plenty for everything you should need.

Calling the purchase of the game a "paywall" sounds extremely entitled. We dont want the game to be free. We dont want users who cannot come up with a few dollars to play the game. This filters the vast majority of cheaters, trolls, and children. If you got filtered by the requirement to buy the game, then thats ok.

And yeah, everyones still quite calm lol ;)

So its "maniacal" now to point out that you were wrong about the game not having a free trial? Yikes lol

Sorry that you got filtered. I hope that you find a free game to play, byee ;)

just missed the free week they had it goes on sale pretty regularly might be worth putting it on your wish list next time it goes on sale.

I can download and install it in about 30 - 45min 🤷‍♂️

If this is such an old game why be fussed about trying it at all. Besides the pack you were curious about may be old, but all the packs are not which you also want to try. There are no free rides in life and if you don't want to risk having fun by purchasing the game then maybe go find one of those "free trial" games and see how much fun those are. Besides one or two hours for a mmo with many expansions is not near long enough to get any idea about the game itself.

Free trial or not, it's not worth getting at this time, as the game is possibly in it's worst state in terms of content, community, dev team incompetence, and even stability of the client.

It's very bad.
