Standard or High Isle Collection ?

I'm considering buying TESO and saw there's a High Isle Collection. Is that worth it or should I go for the base game ? With a 40€ price gap you'd expect quite something, but the reviews say otherwise.

If you're planning on playing through all of the expansions, then the Collection is the way to go, it's an insane amount of content. If you're not sure though, the base game still has a good amount of content.

As a new play it could be a better idea to buy the base game, and if you feel any sort of lack of content to purchase an ESO+ subscription, this will grant you access to ALL DLC and expansions except the latest High Isle expansion. If you like what you see you can buy the collection to permanently own all the chapters, and manually purchase the DLC that you enjoyed playing so that you can keep playing them even if your subscription expires.

I'm still quite unsure if ESO is an Elder Scrolls for me, so I guess I'll purchase the base game, see if I like it and go from there. Thanks for the answers!

Highest sale from any legitimate retailer right now is 16% for the base game and 10-13% for the DLC. Blackwood collection is just as expensive from legitimate retailers. If you think there's a bigger sale going on right now it isn't from a legitimate retailer.

i really wish u dont make funny of yourself. check back my very first comment. i was suggesting either blackwood or high isle. i suggest try to avoid base game. its nothing wrong we giving promo price that happen quite often, as reference to OP. if u follow fantical close enough, u should know eso discount happen quite often on those site.

I gave a discount for high isle as well, No place has a Blackwood collection much cheaper than high isle either right now. If you're talking *right now* there's no better sale than the 2 i listed.

Get the collection because once you have bought only the base game you can never buy any collection in the future. You will be forced to buy each expansion separately or get the ESO+ subscription. The newest expansion, which is High Isle, will be full price for a year if you want to add it to the base game. The collection is always the best deal for new players, because current players can't buy it.

You still can, actually. However, as there's no refunds, price reductions or extra keys for any owned Chapters, the value of getting the Collections drops the more existing content that you own, even if it's on sale.

It's still a good deal if you can get the collection on sale, if say, you only have the base game owned.

You can buy the current collector's edition at any time. I took a 4year break and bought the high isle collector's edition collection and got everything past summerset isle added to my account along with their collector's edition content.

The standard game includes NONE of the extra chapters, buying High Isle gets you all the chapters, so the price difference, IMO is worth it.
