So a crafted set can oly be crafted not looted. A looted set cannot be crafted and only looted in the content where it's supposed to be looted (dungeon set in its dungeon, overland set in its region etc.).
For briarheart it's a wrothgar overland set, so the jewelry iss only goud in chest, rare random loot and as daily quest reward in the zone.
But yeah, I'm currently farming, or trying to, the weapons from Old Orsinium bosses. I managed to find a 1h mace from a chest in the overworld, but.. need daggers, sadly.
I'm going to have to get the DLCs so I can train Jewelry Crafting, too.. but I figured I'd at least get this set started before that.
How does one Transmute traits, anyway? Requires the Clockwork City DLC, does it not? (or one of the ones since I've been gone, hah.)
You can get a transmutation station for your player home (very expensive). Various guild leaders tend to have it in their home and have it open for others to use as they want. If you have the clockwork DLC you can just go there.
It costs 50 transmute crystals to change an items trait and you have to know that trait to get it.
Ah, alright. I'm about to re-up my ESO+, rather than buying a around $200 worth of crowns and buying all the DLC outright.. I figured I'd at least collect the set first, regardless of traits, and afterwards get in to JCing and transmuting and such.
I'll keep that in mind, thanks! I haven't even gotten in to housing yet (I quit like one patch prior to housing), but that's something I'll do eventually also.
I'm still using Kra'gh, as it was BiS at the time of me quitting. I figured I'd try to get Selene's (I think? The Bear cleave.) at some point.. but maybe not. Stormfist/Selene's seems to be the most recommended now. I've only seen Velidreth tossed around by folks that PvP also.. which I may or may not do again; no idea.
How so?
I don't see how it would put Velidreth blatantly ahead of anything else, though, aside from the 1p bonus possibly being better. (Which it may be, I'm not looking at the sets just this second, haha.)
Ohh, ohh.. the trial set from Summerset; yeah, I can see it being BiS. The set bonuses are nice, too.
I believe the "BiS" sets call for this + Vicious Ophidian accessories/weapons, plus whatever monster set from a pretty small list (Kra'gh, Velidreth, Selene, and Stormfist somehow is being suggested in Stamblade builds.. I guess it performs okay? No idea.).
I've almost gotten a full Briarthorn set now (missing daggers; or a dagger, if I give up trying to find cheaper ones and get the quest one + a bought one).. once I get it, I'm going to renew my ESO+ (must.. have.. craft bag..) and get in to JCing and transmuting ASAP.
And as much as I hate to admit it I'm probably going to buy a couple research reduction things since Nirnhoned is my last dagger trait, and I'd rather not wait another 28 days to be able to transmute to it..
But anyways~
(velidreth + relequen+) vo is good in 3 dd runs and in vma (in vma u can switch out relequen for hundings since u need aoe dmg and most bosses die before the relequen stacks can do their thing, u want to use relequen on mobs with more then 3 million hp, however the game is so easy that u can use it in aoe fights anyway even though u "lose" the 5 piece bonus) for everything else (velidreth + relequen+) advancing yokeda is bis, but briarheart is ok too, velidreth is bis next patch, this patch it is selene however selene will be good next patch too
i subscribed to eso+ until i had enough crowns for the merchant and a house with 3 60 slot chests (which i payed with tel var) now i canceled eso+ and the inventory management is very bothersome... the little voices in my head always come and say stuff like "subscribe for just one more month and then work out a system for dealing with inventory" lol i am not sure how long i can resist dose voices D:
no need to buy research thingys next patch u go infused on all weapons, also u can get 1 day reductions with master crafter writs, they hv 1 day cd but still better then to throw money at zos, i hate zos for how they treat their game, one of the reasons why i try to cope with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inventory instead of subscribing to eso+
