ESO needs a remaster.....

Im gonna start by saying ik that we all think of re releases in a bit of a bad light most of the time what with the numerous skyrim releases or bad remasters like the ds1 remaster but here me out here. ESO is in a state where its to my understanding actually full blown growing at a pretty ok rate and even if it can be buggy or laggy or any of the other litany of issues the game has we all love it and have a permanent place in our game libraries for it but even though that is the case none of us I would imagine would say its graphics are even remotely close to good for a game of its size in the current day and of course cyrodill and trials can just guzzle ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ram like a certain browser demon we all know **cough** chrome!! **cough**cough** and personally even if they charged a full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 70 for the remaster while letting us carry over all dlc and cosmetics and everything we bought and had in base eso and it literally just just better graphics, voices, and animations i would in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HEARTBEAT buy a remaster especially if it was done in a engine like ue5 which could open up the possiblility of new classes and animations and just way better graphics and fps.

All in all i feel that ZOS and bethesda should think about just how large a community and a solid one at that that ESO has and they should take the chance to squeeze not just a extra 70 bucks outta all of us but also secure further their place in our game libraries seen as games like ashes are getting closer and closer to release each day with as it stands when ashes hits beta 1 than im going to likely delete ESO simply to free up space and since Ashes just on a base playability level is seeming to be LEAGUES beyond eso but if there was a remaster of eso in a new engine that can handle so much additional content and makes the game look beautiful than that would secure in my mind me finding a place for eso and ashes at the same time. like really I guess what all this is to say is that they should stop with the adding systems like the card games that people at least dont hate seen as it doesnt hurt the game necessarily and instead focus on how they can make this game last forever.

true. everything ive seen from AoC has felt like a scam. They have no combat or even gameplay beyond walking around.

dude the stuff they have already shown shows enough work has been put in that the game is real and that it will likely be what they say and as for cosmetics my dude each of those are also suppsoed to be stuff npcs in the world will wear and they are simply offering them as well as a chance to play early to those genuinly interested. basically if you buy them than thats your own choice and whether you buy them or not they are going to be used in the game to make it better meaning each time you see new cosmetics drop each month is them showing future game assests with them choosing only to show cosmetics for the most part due to not wanting to overstate systems or features they arent set on yet. basically cry its a scam all you like and ill be laughing at ya the day of full release

The sound is amazing for an MMO, and it does look great with Reshade. Check my screenshots. What it needs is a 4k texture pack, even with an AI texture upscaler. Some of the cloth and stone textures are pretty bad,

Would also love to see updated running and fighting animations with inertia and weightiness.

yea i feel ya tho the reason i suggest a full remaster with a new engine is currently what i keep hearing from a lot of the players into the development and fro mthe developers during live streams seems to boil the issue with textures and new animations and new VFX and classes and weapons and skill lines in general seems to be the brute fact that the game has overstuffed what the engine can do and this happened likely long ago so at this point to add more of that type of content or be able to both get basic AAA next gen graphics and performance would require either updating their current engine itself or switching to a new one like ue5 like ashes of creation did as an engine like that not only provides the ability for so many more people to work on the project at the same time but also allows for better graphics as a base just by the nature of the engine itself and also streamlining the load things have almost like the difference between having a dirty jar that can hold a cup of what and is filled with a cup of dirty water like ESO is and having a cup that can hold a gallon of crystal clear water like a engine like ue5 could offer

A new engine is a pipe dream for this game, essentially recreating the game from scratch. An effort which would take many years.

Even 4k textures might never happen because of the sheer size of the game with all of the current content. We don't want a Destiny 2 where they delete half of the game in order to add new stuff. Hopefully 4k textures can be considered as an optional download in the future.

they are releasing one outfit each month for 150$, for a game that isn't even out yet, and they've been doing it for years

dude the 'cosmetics' are npc cosmetics they are allowing people to get if they want.... they are literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game assests that they are letting people use on their own players and the alpha 1 combine with things like the character creator reveal show that they at bare minimum have put in a ♥♥♥♥ ton of work already my man and now you also gonna be reported for off topic disscussions. if you wanna ♥♥♥♥♥ about AoC go elsewhere and cry about it there please.
