Are Stamina DK Tanks good in PvE?

Yeah, the most preferred of any tank build for tanking in pve, ime. Both my tanks-in-training are stamDKs. This is mainly because you need to block and bash (to interrupt enemies before they cast a weapon or spell abilitiy) as a tank and those things cost stam. You do need a little magicka, as your Dk skills that are needed for crowd control, like chains, cost magicka, but your tank needs to have plenty of stam to block and bash as needed.

However, they aren't so great at soloing pve content. For that you need to spec them like a stannDK dps. Use gear that give bonuses to weapon dmg and crit rather than health. On my vet level tank, she runs Ebon/Endurance/Bloodspawn for tanking, for example, but for soloing pve, I have her wear Spriggans and Ravaging.

What really puts DK tanks over the top is their excellent chains ability. Nobody else has that easy a time getting unruly mobs positioned for your DDs' AoE attacks (the Warden has something comparable but unfortunately rather more tricky to use).
