Tzogvin or Order's Wrath? For Solo Content?

Hey guys, I have a nord stam dk that I use for solo content.

I'm not sure which of the two is better this patch - Tzogvin or Order's Wrath?

Monster Set - Stormfist
Back Bar - Pillar of Nirn
Mythic - Pale order.

I would say Orders Wrath because solo your Crit damage value is much lower than in group content. And the lower it is the less valuable CRIT chance is.

By choosing orders wrath you get a unique 8% bonus which could stack with the minor force buff (trap which is also a great dot or acceleration) yielding a total of 18% CRIT damage while tzogvin would provide only 10% with minor force.

Personally I would rather take away Stormfist from that build and either change it to some other thing or not use a monster set. Arena weapons are a must for Stam DDs if you aim for end-game content and arena weapons+mythic+monster it´s just not possible unless you want to ignore sets

Stormfist was the only monster set available for archers a long time ago and after that it leave out it´s usefullness. Prior Thierric I think works better now, it also activates far more offten and you will benefit from the buff to aoe damage as a stam DK (2h stampede, class Eruption,etc...)

As for the sets don´t know which one is better numbers wise, it all depends on your base crit chance and how close you are to maximun, the closer you are, the more you will benefit from Order´s Wrath over Tzogvin. However Tzogvin has the added bonus of being a pretty old set and yet it´s still on the top tier for meta dps, while Order´s Warth is too new and therefor could be nerfed along the way on the next updates.

Also, I´m not a meta player and perhaps I´m in the wrong here, but Pillar of Nirn it´s a bleeding effect set. Because of this, and because I don´t really like to play with the same sets on different characters, I´m actually using it on my Warden since that class is the one with the most bleeding effect skills plus Blooddrinker. But if you´re DK and specially if you use bow, unless you´re really specting into aoe, I think Relenquen will provide better raw single target damage number that Pillar. Just a though if you are into maximizing numbers or changing sets for pulls vs bosses.

How long do you think, it will remain unique buff, before ZOS change it to minor force? The same way like they changed other sets? 6 month, 1 year?

I wouldnt run tzogvin in solo content unless im fighting a wb or something. Most mobs in overland will die before you can get the stacks needed for the minor force buff and if you do somehow get it you wont maintain it.

If you want a set that has minor force so you can drop trap or channeled accel medusa is better set solo seeing as the minor force is always active. If you arent gonna drop trap dont run these sets.

Orders wrath is good if you arent at the crit dmg cap which is 125%.

In solo i find myself using vicious ophidian/medusa and briarheart most often. Alot of the good stam sets like kinra, relequen, tzog, and AY can be hard at times to get good uptimes so you really dont benefit much from them.
