Healing feels useless
Now I get that im not that high of level yet, but damn :/. I've actually gone through 3 dungeons without casting more than 2-3 heals for the moments when the boss decides to pull a 'totally legit attack that TOTALLY could have been dodged/taunted and TOTALLY didn't just attack the entire party ignoring range and positioning'

Does it get better later on? Should I respec to a dps class till I get to 50 then switch back?

it seems like most classes have their own form of sustain. Lifesteal, Combat regen, or even their own heal spells they have slotted. I saw a tank with the prayer ult the other day which made my role in the match even more redundant

many of the vet dungeons can be done with a full team of just damage dealers, usually enough just by having the meta gear loadout and high cp which gives the team a higher base resilience towards any kind of dmg

who knows, the combat system might get better in time

Thats what I mean, it feels like other classes have way to much self heals, and self heals are super available to any class. Life steal is a BIG one, with either the undaunted or warriors skill line giving the blood fountain. Then there is the health steal you get at level 1 with the nightblade or whatever its called. There is also the necromancer self heal, the warden self heal.... Every tank seems to have its own skill branch specifically for healing.

Honestly most healers use the same stats as Mag DPS anyway, so it'd really just be a matter of gear and powers slotted that you could swap out per situation.

I want to see you doing veteran dungeon without a healer

The dungeon-difficutly varies a lot. You can for sure do a 4dd-run, even without death, but on others (especially dlc-dungeons) you need a healer. It's also important to know, that a healer isn't only there to heal. He is a whole support for the team with set-synergies and especially synergies in general. I am using the Lokke-set, which will grant you 15% more damage in dungeons when activating a synergy. So to keep that up the whole time, you need someone to feed you with that.

Ive been thinking about making a character that has heals on one set and buffs on the other, so I can swap between the two, though I need to do some research on skills to figure out the best skill lines to use

That's most healer builds. There are only 2 or 3 heal skills in a healer build, everything else is buff and debuff.

My healer restores health stamina and magicka.
Normal dungeons are training for veteran dungeons; or a cuddly teddy bear for carebears.

Yes, it gets better. Some content is a ♥♥♥♥♥ to heal through. Normal dungeons and all, they don't really even need a healer, hell, even some veteran dungeons.

A healer is always welcome but not a must in this game
