Help figure out how to buy Chapters and DLCs correctly, please

So the DLCs and Chapters are one of the most confusing things I have ever seen.

I bought the base game only to try it out, I feel like I'm gonna buy the whole thing now and I know that subscription allows me to use all the DLCs and their content.

But what about the so called Chapters?.. In the crown store it says that I get all the fancy stuff but not the actual Chapter (wtf?). So how do I get the actual Chapter and the content behind it? I cannot buy specific Chapters on Steam or in the game. The only way is to buy ALL the Chapters at once?..

The only way to get the Chapters in the form in which they were released is to buy the Collection. When a new Chapter is released the old Chapter is split into pieces and added to the Crown store as DLC, which you can only buy with Crowns in the game. With ESO+ you will get access to most of that, but not all of it. Some things like the new character classes you will have to buy separately. It's cheaper to buy the Collection when it's on sale like it is now. The price for the collection is what you would have paid for just a single Chapter if you'd bought them as they came out. If you like the game it's a great deal.

I am also relatively new. But the first thing I noticed is that if you want to experience the story in the correct order, it's difficult to do so. It's going really wrong right now. But maybe this guide will help!

You can buy only the original game, which includes three expansions until Morrowind. If you buy the collection with High Isles, you get them all. As for the DLC content, you can play them in the order they were released.
