So the morrowind content comes with the base game now?
But I guess because I owned the game before it came out I dont have it? And I have to spend more on crowns then the base game to get morrowind?

Unfortunately whoever is in charge of the DLC pricing does not care- they want you to spend more money on crowns so you have to buy it in game

Morrowind chapter is not part of the base game and has never been.

The current ESO Standard Edition contains the base game and the Morrowind chapter, consisting of the Morrowind DLC and the Warden class. Base games bought prior to this change were not upgraded for free.

With the launch of the Summerset chapter, the Morrowind DLC became part of ESO+. The Warden class is not included in ESO+, though. With the launch of Elsweyr, the Summerset chapter was reclassified as DLC and is now included in ESO+.

I would advise waiting for another 50% sale and buying the ESO Standard Edition for EUR 10.

They want you to subscribe to ESO+. ESO+ members get Morrowind and Summerset, and only need to buy the class/deluxe edition item packs (which is easy with the monthly Crown allowance).

They also made it very clear when Summerset was released that this was going to happen to each superseded expansion going forward.

People seem to think that these expansions can just be conjured out of thin air and that they don't cost money to produce. You can't not pay them and expect them to keep releasing content. That's not how game development works.

Lmao they purposely exclude morrowind from the Steam store so people buy their stupid coins, but you have to buy a lot more coins than the morrowind expansion costs, so you're leftover with more coins that you don't need, just so you spend that extra $$$$$$$$

Anti-consumer practices are pathetic, removing ESO from my steam account & purchasing again while it's on sale would be cheaper for me than buying the expansion.

You don't have to buy any Crowns to get Morrowind and Summerset. All you need to do is subscribe to ESO+ like any other traditional MMO.

What part of this is difficult to understand?

Nobody seems to have a problem with World of Warcraft including superseded expansions into the cost of the subscription. Why is it suddenly a problem for ESO?

Oh okay, let me just waste $15 a month

I bet you're the type of person who rents cars & pays for music
IndigoAK May 21, 2019 @ 8:12am
And I bet you're the type of person who believes game developers just pull content out of their asses without getting paid and should give you everything for free.

Want content? Pay for it. Don't want to pay for it? Go play something else.

Artists are not obligated to give you access to their work for free.

You do not have to buy Morrowind or Summerset anymore. What part of this is so difficult for you to understand?

The Warden class can easily be purchased from the Crown Store with the monthly allowance ESO+ gives you. It's not like the class is forever locked away from anybody who didn't buy the expansion before Summerset.

The more you guys complain, the more it sounds like you simply want everything given to you for free.

I just checked how much money you have to spend on Morrowind expansion.

Due to the way the crown packs work, you'd have to spend $40 in crowns to purchase morrowind in the game store.

$40.....

But if you buy the Standard Edition of ESO right now, it includes Morrowind...........

Standard edition is $20.

Sometimes it's on sale for $10

meaning it would be 75% cheaper

to wait for a sale of ESO (Which is all the time)

To delete ESO from your steam account

and to purchase it again.

I don't know how simpler I could make my statement.

They need to "fix" their prices.

I say "Fix" because they do this on purpose.
IndigoAK May 21, 2019 @ 8:31am
Or you could subscribe and get it for $15, along with a whole bunch of other content.

And you're absolutely right that they did it on purpose. To drive ESO+ subscriptions.

You're pretending that your solution is the only solution to your "problem".
