PVP in this game is the worst that I've ever seen in any MMO

Lag makes it completely unplayable, takes 5 seconds to complete an animation and by that time the enemy is long gone, huge groups avoid fighting each other because there is no point and instead try to capture easy keeps and when they do try and fight it's just an aoe spamfest, that's the entire pvp meta to run around in ''ballgroups'' and spam aoe attacks because it's so laggy.

Other type of playstyle is to be completely cheesy and have a build with teleportation and speed buffs and then run around a box for 10 minutes because no one can do any damage on you because you keep getting ''out of sight'' everyone ends up just walking away instead
and then you can get out of your box or other random object loop and kill whatever new player straggler is left.

Ye I never liked cyrodiil, but I love the pvp in battlegrounds. Less lag and more balanced because all teams have 4 players

At this state they should remove PVP from its game in its entirety or be removed from steam store for false advertising, I feel so ripped off spending 300 hours now playing this game, leveling different classes and builds all in preperation for PVP just to find out it's not playable, spent about 150£ along the way as well.

You should focus on battlegrounds if you want to focus pvp. The good players are in there and it is not lagging like cyrodiil.

My advice for PVP is ES is treat it like any Elderscrolls game system. It's wierd, but in a way that you either embrace the weirdness of the system and enjoy it, or give up and rage about it. Good news though is that PVP rewards are mostly gained from participation rather than performance, however performance does affect the frequency of the rewards granted. Also if you want to perform well in PVP make sure you use a PVP build. Going in with your World Adventuring gear will make things more difficult for you.

I got a pvp build from online which I think is more suited for battleground since it's mostly single target CQC type of attacks (dragonknight) and I got a full PVP set with legendaries but even so I regularly run into players who just do some pooff ability then kill me in one second, I guess I could get better but even then I don't think there should ever be a way to kill someone in a second.

I think they should remove the ability to go out of sight behind small objects, remove ultimates from PVP and get rid of some weird gear set bonuses that are not at all made for PVP in mind, reduce the amount of invisibility, teleportation and immortality abilities as well, it's not fun trying to kill someone who has some shield that makes him immortal for 10 seconds so your only option is to run away.

also everyone should have the same running and mount speed in pvp, maybe a certain speed buff out of combat can exist for nightblades/wardens but as it is now everyone is just all over the place, I can't run fast enough to get any attacks on my target.

This year ZOS is undergoing a complete architecture redesign of their servers. It's going to take some time, but after exhausting all their ideas to fix performance they have no choice but to fix the very foundation of the game. We'll see how it goes.

I've abandonded Cyrodil which is the main pvp mode to do battlegrounds (arena) and I'm having more fun, it's 4v4v4 and no lag, but it's very meta dependent you have to get the right build and the right gear preferably legendary gear which is very expensive and you can only get it by having no life or spending real life money for crowns in order to sell for gold so you can buy said legendary items from guild traders in order to be competitive, anything pvp related in this game requires you to level up every skill line to max level because most builds usually requires 1 ability from every skill line, being good or having situational awareness isn't enough you have to get the best of everything, most builds will require some lame PVE gear piece (that gives set bonuses that is essential) which you can only get from doing undaunted dailies which give you keys that you can open RNG chests with for a chance to get said piece so it can take months before you you even get said piece to complete said build etc etc, im drunk.

edit: pvp aside it's a very nice game with alot to do so you can probably find some enjoyable endgame to do anyway, everything is voice acted which is nice but if your main focus is pvp you're better of in WoW or any other MMO

Sure there is a grind to get the best gear or max your skill line. But it is much better suited than WoW. Once you have maxed it or got your gear you dont need to do it all again. Every patch or expansion in WoW you have grind your gear again. Hoping rng jesus is with you or you going to be stomped by players with better gear and luck.
Or even worse, all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ daily/weekly pve ♥♥♥♥ that need to be done in WoW so you dont lose character power in pvp.

In ESO once you got your pvp guy maxed, correct skill line and gear you never have to do pve on that character again if you dont want to.

I have a character that not been changed for 2 years. I can just log in and have fun in battlegrounds. Heck I even stopped playing for 6 months and was still able to come back and this character was in top end and needed no grind to play pvp.

Also for money it is incredible easy to get money, just check some guides and you got your legendary gear in no time. You can skip the most expensive (jewelry) as epic to legendary is so minimal. Just put on a legendary enchant.

I have no lag at all in that place friends, maybe this is a connection issue? are you using wireless connections? wired? satellite? whats the deal? or Is it fps lag? if so why not make a GPU profile for ESO to force specific settings? I do that and I have 120fps with 30ms latency on my ancient desktop pc using wireless literally not been updated since 2012 or something Lol.... ;D
