Briarheart vs Pillar of Nirn
Hello, I am trying to get my scrying up to lvl 7 to be able to grab ring of pale order, next I am thinking what set is better for vMA and solo content in general - I am thinking Briarheart (what I am currently using) vs Pillar of Nirn (I would have to farm this one). Second set I am using is Tzogvin's I also have Relequen. Would be amazing to hear your opinion about that guys. Also I am a stamina warden if it can help you in any way (Maining it right now, second option is Necro). Thank you!

Why Not Play Relequen&Tzogvin?
I mean briarheart is nice for the heals but it doesnt have 100% uptime.
The Minor Slayer is also something you probably want for arena.
You think that Pillar of Nirn would be worse than relequen? Also I think that Ring of the Pale Order will be more than enough for passive healing. What about companions for overland content? Healer will probably not work since the Ring says that you cannot be healed by anyone but yourself. So I am guessing Tank?

I have several characters and the sets I favour are Embershield, Grace of Gloom, Hatchling's Shell, Defiler, Dreugh King Slayer and Thunderbug. I don't play a Stamina build though. I like sets that provide extra protection and also deal damage to mobs that get close to you. The best place to check out all the gear sets in ESO is this one https://eso-sets.com/set/dreugh-king-slayer

brierhart is good in general but boring imo

pillar does give more dps than brierheart but only if you hit every proc

it is possible to do the arena basic gear, the most important part is knowing every mechanic and knowing what to do. (i speak from experience because i had bis gear for arena and couldnt finish it because i didnt want to put the time to actually learn vma)

I bet it is of course, I already done it with my necro but I was struggling. Now I will try to do it with my warden, as soon as I get my hands on the ring of the pale order I need to think what should I replace briarheart with.

Relequen for vMA is useless. Go with Vicious Ophidian and then take any other set you want like Tzogvin, Advancing Yokeda, Night Mother's Gaze, Briarheart, Hunding's Rage etc.

so pillar of nirn is not worth farming? I am asking because some people recommend it

I've heard it's not bad, but I wouldn't go for the trouble of farming it just for vMA. There are other sets that are easier to get I guess. If you want to though, go for it! I've been using Vicious Ophidian with Hunding's Rage/NMG for years and years and I've gotten flawless on a few stam characters with that setup. The sets are not really the most important part. Although I still strongly recommend Vicious Ophidian for the main set.

Makes sense, btw what 2 handed weapon is BiS right now? Axe/Maul/Sword? I am using Briarheart axe right now

Axe and swords are both good. For solo content you can go for maul if you want but I don't see many people doing it. I personally run swords.

I was actually thinking of getting precise Maul, would boost my crit chance by 10%. Rn unbuffed I am only at 22.9%. With axe I have like 30% more crit damage combining my sets/axe/racial. I just don't know what is better tbh, more crit chance or more crit damage.

If you're crit rate is 23% you want to buff that before crit damage.
I'm running Leviathan + Medusa right now, both are pretty easy Dungeon farms. Gryphon set is overland, can be bought cheap in guild stores, is basically a slight downgrade of Medusa. Leviathan / Mother's Sorrow should put your crit rate to something solid if you can keep Major Savagery / Prophecy up (potions, spammables like Biting Jabs, or Skilled Tracker for example).

Well if you got no chance to crit all of your critdamage is wasted.
Just stick with Tzogvin´s once you gained all the stacks you get more chance to crit than with Medusa and it also gives pen.
Should I go with Precise Briarheart Maul then? Then unbuffed I will sit at roughly 34.2% crit chance. I also have Berseking Warrior set in case. But I think Briarheart + Tzogvin's is quite enjoyable for solo content.
