Blade of Woe. bug Solved

I have encountered the problem which doesn't allow me using Blade of Woe. Just before you ask, I googled it and it appeares that I am not alone at having this issue. I tried logging in and out, disabling addos, adjusting my settings... Nothing works. Don't knwo what is the problem. I only use one character and it is an issue for me. Could someone help me?

edit: don't know what was the problem but simply waiting for a few hours helped.

yeah, as the title says the Blade of Woe doesn't work. It used to work fine untill a few houras ago and now it isn't working. Readsome forums where people complained about the same issue and I thought it were the addons so I disabled them. Didn't work. Then I thought it was happening because i had an option "Attack civilians" off. It was on. Logging in and out, checking my files didn't work too so now I am at a loss

Ok.

First thing to do is map the synergy key off the middle mouse button onto a side button or a key. If for nothing else, just to test. The middle mouse button can get finicky due to the wheel action and such.

Second thing is to make sure your target has the shiny glow around them indicating they can be assassinated. Some normal looking NPCs cannot be killed as they are required for other purposes.

Third, make sure you wait for the prompt that the action is available. Don't just sneak up (you have to be in Stealth, of course) and quickly hit the button. Have to wait for it. Just like Pick-pocketing.

Post back with results.

Pretty sure that option is called Prevent Attacking Innocents and it should be off if you want to go all stabby-stabby.

Ok, so the blade works out of combat you just can't use it on enemies this is an important bit of info. Something is blocking it being used only in combat? Or you can kill npc the normal way and the blade is blocked in both cases?

You have to be Stealthed.

I can kill NPC's in normal ways but getting behind them while being in stealth doesn't help the icon to appear

Does your stealth indicator show you as fully stealthed? Basically a flat line with a dot in the center.

I had a slight delay recently with the blade, sometimes need to press the button twice?

No prompt would indicate you are being seen and not stealthed.

Do me a favor on this one. Go into Settings and disable "Multthreaded Rendering" option. Then, log out of ESO and restart ESO.

This option has been causing a ton of issues. A long shot, but you never know. :/
