Writs, same old same old again?

So, I keep pulling writs off these town boards and I have now gotten the same blacksmithing wriit 3 times in a row. Are these only good for a couple of times and then you are on your own? I think maybe I mistakingly thought they were an ongoing learning process.

There is a specific list of writs at all crafting skills, and you can even pre-build them so to only pick them up from whichever storage you have them--unless you have them in your inventory already--and turn them in (that's a good strategy for provisioning and alchemy cuz those crafted items do stack, taking less space than all others).

^^ + there are couple of quests for each crafting repeating - you get gold and inspiration (crafting lvl exp) - allowing you to keep just small amount of mats for crafting compared to all existing in-game.

The ongoing learning process is gaining experience in the crafts skill line. As you progress a skill line different writs will be presented. But the point of the writs isn’t to learn recipes and enchants etc. They provide gold and skill progression. You’ll need the skill level as you get into master writs.

Simply put, the Writs are for crafting experience. The rewards from the Writ boxes never give enough mats to make up for what the Writ cost to do (even if you DO get a Survey). Sometimes you get a Gold improvement material, and that is really worth it.

But, it is all mainly for the crafting experience. :)

When you upgrade the first crafting skill to move up to the next level of mats, then you get a fresh quest. It's not about the variety, it's for the crafting exp.

Those daily writs are a good source of gold to. Do them all each day and you'll be very well off. The daily writs do drop special crafting writs, but word of caution on those as they can sometimes have you try to make something you can't. So read them first before accepting the quest, and you can sell the quest to other people if you so desire.
