The only difference is the addon for Tamriel Trade Center, but there you have to install also a exe which runs in the background and synchronizes the data with a web service:

No, TTC is doing that. If you post something in the store or go to the store the items/prices will be posted to the website.
ATT and MM are only showing the sales in the guilds of the user.
So TTC for posted prices and ATT and MM for Sales Statistics.
Are the boxes at the bottom of the window empty or to they have a mark? It might take time to load the data.
Are you in a normal guild or trading guild? Trading Guilds usually offer a discord with instructions and addon recommendations
I already joined 1 guild, so i should be in all 5 guilds for the best reslts
