Assassins League vs Dark Brotherhood???
I've completed the DB quest including litany of blood. I've played DB before in past games. I realize there are two separate motifs, though very similar.

What is the difference between the Assassins League and Dark Brotherhood? Not the motifs but the ingame organization or lore?

thank you for completely ignoring the question

i think there is no organization, it's just a "no name" version of the branded dark brotherhood stuff

An accident, I assure you. Saw the opening comments about the gear and missed the 'Not the Gear' part.

One huge difference is that Assassins Guild gives you the Blade of Woe. Astoundingly useful. Thieves Guild can facilitate making scads of gold from looting the palaces. Both guilds are involved in various story lines as well, based on their focus of killing or thieving.

Their stories and lore are embedded in their quest lines and their association with other NPCs in the game.

Other than that, don't know how to answer any deeper.

True. I just thought they meant Thieves Guild. No point of comparing an in-game organization with an out-of-game organization, I think. Have to take the content on its own or one can drive oneself crazy. :)

Assasin's league is gotten from doing stuff in gold coast. Dark brotherhood motif is from doing the daily.

*Laughs* Now *I* am confused. OP emphasized he was NOT talking about motifs and such. :)

Yes, does anyone have any info on the lore of who/what the Assassins league is? Is it a thing? I've done DB quests in ESO and past ES games. That's all. Didn't see much info about it online. :jawaevil:

I dont think assasin's league is a real thing. It's probably a name that ZOS gave to the motif. Tbh Idk why I talked about the motif lol]

As far as im aware, Assassin's League is merely a motif style and is not part of any ingame lore.

this is correct

Assassin league is basically the Dark brotherhood without the cult thing about Sithis or the Night Mother. They have the same hierarchy and organisation in their Guild, but they do not believe in the existence of the Dark Brotherhood (It's a Myth they say) and they do not have a "god" patron like the thieves guild or the DB (Nocturnal - Sithis). To sum up the Assassin's Guild are mercenary cutthroats, who do exactly the same things as the DB (contracts, assassinations etc), but the only power that moves them to do what they do is the gold.
P.S
Hope that helps.
